@gbtunney linear isolations are the isolations that move in a straight line (like above) where as an "iso-pop" is a point in an isolation that you freeze it (grip it) then allow it to do a regular spin around the hand, re-grip it, then continue the isolation :)
this may seem like a strange question, when you say you have1/2" are you measuring the outside of the tube? . The reason I ask this is when i purchased my 40" hoop on line they said it was 3/4 " but when I measure it it is 1" so I 'd like to know if I'm going to make a 27" to pratice withhow to buy the pvc tubing. Linda
Awsome that you responded so quickly. I'm calling a plumber friend to see if he can shape and fuse the hoop for me. I'll let you know haw it works out.
@LindaD43 Hey Linda, I use the silverline brand from lowes. I would go to hooping.org to find basic hoop making directions. The 1/2" is the internal size, so it uses 1/2" couplings. A 3/4" hoop would use 3/4" coupling, being about 1" around the outside. I would probably suggest making a couple (100' for like $15) one 27", a 30", etc in 3" increments :) They all produce different results and one will be your favorite.
I just started hooping and seem to like isolation hoopings. I do have a 40: 160psi 3/3" for hooping but seems to heavy for isolatin t this time for me. I do have27" 3/4 plastic but seems light. it's not the cheap plastic but not sure if it's pvc. what do you use in your smaller hoop?
@LindaD43 Hey Linda - of all the hoops i've made, my favorite for isolations are made of 1/2" polyethylene 125 PSI tubing. I get the tubing at Lowes. I like using a 36" diameter best, but in the video the white hoop is 27"
pvc shouldn't be able to be manipulated at all without having some way to mold it... irrigation tubing is what it is normally called... you should be able to bend that with ease and should only have to heat up the ends when trying to insert a connector.
Thank you for this! So much better than any other so far.

what is the difference between linear isolation and iso-pop?

Hey! You are fantastic at teaching! Can you teach a thorough tutorial on the cat eye?

@exquisitelyinsane I made one just for you :) just gotta get it posted tonight

@stellarhoopdance Awesome! I can't wait.. I still haven't gotten the hang of it! I feel like a pro at linear isolation now though. Haha :)

This was an excellent tutorial. I think you should continue to do them. very good. I am impressed....
