That is mere semantics, I was using the French as an example, maybe French isn't a race, would you have preferred that I had used words such as Indo-caucasian, or Dravidian? What do you define as a race? Skull type? Of course artificial borders don't define races, but the issue of comical stereotypes is not limited to race. I was using the sterotype of the French as a comparison to that of the Japanese - people from one country, also not a race. sorry if that does not make sense to you.

What doesn't make sense to me is why you insisted on using the term "racist bastards" when there isn't any justification for it. Furthermore there has always been and undoubtedly always will be comical stereotypes, such to say if a character is drawn with bad teeth, a top hat and has a somewhat snobbish disposition he/she will undoubtedly be perceived as English, the fact of the matter is, comical stereotypes are just that.
