Its amazing how human like Lun is rescuing Lani and getting her unstuck. Lun used her hands like a person would, time after time I find with amazement, how well pandas really can use their hands. Lun was so gentle and then sweetly cuddled Lani better. I hadn't seen this before and I'm so glad that I found it, I love it!!! Thank you so much, Joyce!!!!!!

It was 7mos. ago when I made that reply, and at that time, Mei Lan had been weaned from her Mom Lun & the Zoo says they won't be together again, :( ~~Mom Lun is still alive, and has a new cubbie Xi Lan {8/30/08}, I have videos on them; or you can do a search and you will find them, Lun is still a wonderful & caring Mom & this current male cub almost didn't make it at 1st, but is a big one at 4 mos. now.
I agree, they were so close~I love how Miss Independent Mei Lan tries to get away in hammock {like maybe she didn't really need rescuing, hehe} & then how she copied Mom's exit from the hammock {but not quite big enough, eeks}

I agree! Lun was so gentle about how to free Mei Lan from the wedge.
I also thought the song was perfect with this scenario: Mei Lan fell/jumped off the hammock just when the ending high note hit!
