ya any battery will work fine. My choice was a lithium ion battery that would allow me to charge my computer for one hour fully charged. I bought the panel from a guy in arizona that lost the original wiring for $70! I tried to use as little as possible and make it light so I could backpack it and use it in canada mostly for charging my gps and camera.
Nice system, can you add your own custom battery though ? Maybe like a 10 - 20 amp hour sla battery for longer run time. I noticed that the connectors this system uses are f2 terminals, which would pair right up with most sla batteries. Also what type of battery pack comes with the system, lithium or NiMH ?
