Abbadon broke six seals (the seventh was not broken so the horsemen did not interfere) in order to lure Hells generals for battle terms and take them out for fear that they would loose the endwar since Hell was getting stronger. The counsil knew of this but Abaddon reforged the seals in order to cover its tracks so the council without proof could not enact justice. So they sent war and abbadon was killed and he became the destroyer out of fear when lilith offered the position.

After 2 and a half months my friend played it on apocalypse and sayed me to help him and so i did.

@AznTwilight They hope to have multiplayer by the 3rd or 4th. But the advanced character development for each individual horseman would have to be inserted before they make a multiplayer... This doesn't mean it will accually take 4 games to do this, that's the maximum amount of games before multiplayer. But I've heard the other horseman will make an appearance to help death slightly in the 2nd (just a rumour).

Just saw an not really epic CGI -Trailer with nothing special about it!

The Gameplay-Vidz didnt show me any special new twists of game-mechanics!

Its just another dumb "3rd-person-hack&slay"-WASTING MY TIME - console-Game!

Its everything but innovational! If not, proof me with some fine gameplay-vidz, which shows me some interesting! Most Games are dumbshit, not worth the money, which game-publishers wanna grieve outta ur pockets!

@daberko120ch u missed my point! NEARLY EVERY Game, that was published in the last Years was a waste of time and money! iam "moaning" about a lack of NEW IDEAS! Thats all! My main problem is the developement of A.I! The publisher invest tons of money to create games, which seldomly, mostly never leave the mind-box of visual-effects-overloaded, action-packed and linear story-driven award-hunting dumbshit!

I play RTS, strategy, Simulation, hack&slash, 3rd-person, egoshooter btw!

@Chareidos LOL, I was close :]. I'm guessing you haven't played this game? Look up gameplay of The Griever and The Stygian boss fights and The Jailer Miniboss fight. Joe Mad keeps things fresh (maybe not in design, but it is a unique design for todays standards) and this game isn't just fight, fight, fight. The "black throne" level of the game is quite challanging with the puzzles. I don't really know what you're looking for... just showing you good ideas.

@Chareidos You can't expect new ideas to just exist infinitely. The human mind and to some existent, physical reality is limited enough that new ideas can't be around forever. Bashing on everything that doesn't bring a completely new idean is just idiotic. You might as well not even watch TV, hear too much music or buy new inventions like the iPad if you feel that picky about games. And there's a few games that don't follow the mold, such as Crash Mind Over Mutant, which are very underexposed.

I don't care what the people thinks. To me, its one of the best games I've ever played. Suuure, you might say, "Wow this game is a ripoff". I agree a little with that but if you combine that, you have a:

God of War+Devil May Cry+Legend of Zelda+Pokemon(?)+Portals+Warcr­aft III= One Hell of a Game, Darksiders.

What hates me about this game is that it's so underrated. Can't wait to play Darksiders 2.

@jingjong12 The 2nd game's map will be split up into 4 seconds. (unlocked in a similar way like GTA's islands, get down the section 1 dungeons and you'll move onto section 2) The developers say that the 1 section of the map will have more dungeons and size than all of first darksiders game itself... This fact accually made me sad, as I have to WAIT...

It is a beat em up action adventure with lots of hack and slash, not a single gun in it. So it really isn't a copy of GOW which is a cover based 3rd person shooter. Darksiders much more like God of War than Gears of War.
