edge of sanity is nowhere near documented enough, the footage of their live shows are poor for the most part, they only had two music videos in their career yet their discography is sooo incredible with soo many classics, incredible songs, essentialls. They conquered old school death metal, melodic death metal, progressive metal, worked with Mikael Alkerfeldt of opeth in crimson and took a bit of that approach, and they have so many highlights in their carrearara

Even though Swanö is better songwriter, but Axelsson is good too in his own way, but when you compare them to the Swanö's song on infernal... Can you feel how those two camps fight against each other. Dan's more creative and forward taking progress and Axelsson's simplified more traditional stuff? Cryptic is ok, but Edge of Sanity has alots of better albums than it.

I´m pretty sure that Dan supported the other guys to carry on without him. According to interviews from the mid 90s he said that he wasn´t interested in touring and that they instead of him should contact the man that later became their singer; Robert Karlsson.

Robban Karlsson is a generic growler. Swano had a growl matched by few and is an excellent singer as well. This band shouldn't be called Edge Of Sanity.

Well, Robban is still awesome. Check out his vocals in Pan.Thy.Monium. He just didn't do anything unique during his time in EoS. But eitherway, Axelson wrote all the songs on Cryptic and about half the songs on all their other albums, so they still deserve the name EoS.

It's hard for me to chose but, I would have to agree. Crimson was original in every way. My only gripe with Crimson II, too much keyboard in spots. It added ambiance but it eventually started to sound like Moontower 2.
