Everyone points the finger one way or another (usually Nash or Russo), and I'm not defending any of these guys, but most sources state that the same buyout that caused Turner to sell the Braves, etc, was the demise of WCW. And furthermore that with more time, Bischoff would have bought WCW himself and it would have never ceased. In all sincerity, correct me if I'm wrong. If I'm not, then the fingerpointing is ridiculous.

When Turner bought the NWA from the Crockets the NWA was almost belly up. They were huge in Europe and huge in Japan, huge every where they went in N. America. They are the only team in history to hold the NWA(WCW), AWA & WWF titles. Their look, their promos, their in ring style, their entrance & everything about them screamed intimidation....

IMO, both are garbage, and the fact that the ratings have dropped for both promotions this year is proof that both aren't putting on a quality product. There needs to be a reformation of the promotions before they both find themselves in the gutter. WWE got a 3.0 this week and TNA hasn't really shifted up either

It's one of those ideas that sounds great on paper but whether anyone wants to admit it or not the majority of the crowd is always going to side with established talent like Flair and Hogan over unproven talent. There is an emotional connection there between fans and the wrestlers they grew up with.
As for the NB specifically most of the wrestlers were far too green to be working with the established stars anyhow.

IMO, both are garbage, and the fact that the ratings have dropped for both promotions this year is proof that both aren't putting on a quality product. WWE is too production focused, way to obvious and tired with the Cena-Superman bullshit, and TNA is just all over the place. There needs to be a reformation of the promotions before they both find themselves in the gutter. WWE got a 3.0 this week and TNA hasn't really shifted up either

It's one of those ideas that sounds great on paper but whether anyone wants to admit it or not the majority of the crowd is always going to side with established talent like Flair and Hogan over unproven talent. There is an emotional connection there between fans and the wrestlers they grew up with.
As for the NB specifically most of the wrestlers were far too green to be working with the established stars anyhow.
