First of all, most of these foreign criminal parasites have nothing to do with agriculture, They're working in construction, factories, and other "mainstream" jobs.

If a cop is in a parking lot on the side of the road and is using his gadget that detects the speed of other vehicles, when he finds one that is speeding, he doesnt see who was driving the car. Only when the police pull over the person who committed the violation will they be able to see the persons skin color. If I were a cop, told to enforce SB 1070, I would chose the non-white. It is a legal stop and I have a 10% chance that non-white is an illegal immigrant.
SB 1070 encourages police to be more vigilant of non-white CITIZENS. If a cop wants to be effective and efficient, the officer would always look for excuses to make legal stops on non-white citizens.

Its not racial profiling. If a cop is in a parking lot on the side of the road and is using his gadget that detects the speed of other vehicles, when he finds one that is speeding, he doesnt see who was driving the car. Only when the police pull over the person who committed the violation will they be able to see the persons skin color. That is NOT racial profiling since the police clearly pulled over the person for speeding, not his skin color. If you dont like it, dont commit a violation

Lets make a law that gives the police the right to arrest anyone they think is probably part of the KKK, a family member, or transporting a potential KKK member. But don't worry the bill will specify that race as the sole factor is not permitted, in addition it has to be upon a form of legal contact. If a cop sees a white and a non-white jaywalk at the same time. If only one can be stopped who is chosen?
If I were a cop, told to enforce SB 1070, I would chose the non-white. It is a legal stop and I have a 10% chance that non-white is an illegal immigrant.
SB 1070 encourages police to be more vigilant of non-white CITIZENS. If a cop wants to be effective and efficient, the officer would always look for excuses to make legal stops on non-white citizens.
I do not support SB 1070.

Also if you really believe this law won't encourage racial profiling, you're living in a dream world. The problem I see is for those who will take advantage of this law and harass residents based on race, which we have encountered in Arizona quiet a few times. On both sides of the debate, whether you are in favor or not, comprehensive immigration reform is something has to be done right now. The situation of millions of illegal immigrants within the country has to be solved as well as securing our borders. Just because, "there is not appetite" for solving the issue right now, as Obama said, we have to let the issue pass by. Let's contact our local officials to push the issue, so that politicians do what they are actually supposed to do.

When it comes to healthcare reform, the great one says "We've got to do something! Something is better than nothing!" When it comes to financial reform, same story.
