I agree. Ichigo isn't all that great. like he needed the hollow form the first time against bayakuya ^^. If that didn't happen, he would have lost big time against him.

As of the battle with Ulquiorra I sincerely doubt anyone can dispute that Ichigo is second rate by comparison to his hollow, a one sided slaughter by the villain turning to an easy win like that pretty much says it all

Shirosaki Hichigo is the best pure swordsmen in Bleach, period. When it comes down to raw skill with a blade with nothing else involved no one in the show(manga) can best him. He IS that sword, he knows it like he does his own 'body'. But with other things involved, like Ichigo haveing an advantage to it being his soul and thus his rules, he isn't the best.

Ichigo's just afraid of killing anyone. I think He's trying to end the fight without having his opponents die. Now Hollow on the other hand couldn't possibly care less about anyone beside himself. So the only thing He's lacking isn't "brains", it's restriction.

@MultiGigus Not quite. Shirosaki's skills differ from Ichigo's greatly. Shirosaki fights like a berserker, acting on instinct and impulse alone. Ichigo is the type to analyze opponents during a fight.

Their skills come out about equal, but to call them the same is a gross understatement.

If Hollow Ichigo is stronger, then why does he keep losing? Why then, is he the horse that bears the king? It's clearly not because he wants to, it's because he as to! Every time he rears up, he's struck down. Logically he's the weaker of the two; otherwise, Hichigo would be in control.

@wlkrtxtnger69 his fighting skills still are better if you think about it after all if you've ever noted he uses his skills aswell wielding the shikia form in a better manner by using the Cloth and hes not lacking in brains if you hadn't noted before he does use his whits for a fight not so much in detail but he does use them. The thing is hes more instinctive in battle. Sure hes a nut for fighting but who wouldn't cooped up in a world where its more so then no just two being?

@bladevstwilight1 Well, Ichigo, he want everything to be even...Hollow has the raw instinct, Ichigo also, but in smaller doses, They have two split personalities, therefor the ruthless killing on Hollow's side, however, i aggre that Hollow has more offensive and more damaging attacks, while ichigo will try to take use of the enviorment

technically, hollow ichigo isnt STRONGER than ichigo. their strenght is the same, but hollow ichigo is much more skilled with zangetsu than ichigo is
