I gotta ask, how well did the Megan header fit up, and how is it holding up? It's on my list of maybes for when I switch to a header from the time bomb otherwise known as the stock manifold when I do my engine rebuild. Sounds great man, that 5k roar gives me chills. Heh. Never will take mine over, burns oil bad enough...
the header fit perfectly to the stock and megan midpipes. it's stainless steel so it will good for a while then look like crap but i've never had a problem out of it.
It is, a spec v, with the qr25de engine, I've seen the car. Get a life. Camera microphones are different than your eardrums, of course it sounds different idiot.
it could be a number of things that made this video sound differently. watch the speedo and notice where each gear tops out. if it was a 5spd it would be much different speeds.
well dumbass watch the video a couple times there are no "secondaries" and you can get those badges for six bucks off of ebay that means nothing. And I have the megan exhaust on a spec-v andf it sounds nothing like yours
to bad your not in a spec-v. If you had an intake like you claim you do that cvtc would have been screaming at 5k rpms and your gauges are different :-)
what kind of headers do you have because i got the dc 4-2-1 and i was thinking just put two resonators on the exhaust itself. Does the megan cat back come with a resonator already on it?
Okay so you have the full megan exhaust, headers and all right? cause im thinking about buying a full megan racing exhaust system for my eclipse. should i buy the whole set up or just the catback at first? im hearing alot of different things.
i would get the full exhaust. if you get just the cat back you'll be saying soon that you want the header, then you'll want the midpipe, etc. plus it's nice when you open the hood and see the header instead of the heat shield from your stock exhaust mani
sounds awesome dude. I'm waiting for some free time and when its not snowing to pull out my stock exhaust and drop in my megan exhaust parts :) BTW do you have a cold air intake on you Spec V?

no reason to call anyone a dumbass except yourself. why do you think it's not?
Sharpmaxell 2 years ago
read my previous post and he is a dumbass for thinking a 4cyl needs headers when it only needs a header!
2k2blackout 2 years ago
ok thats all good and great. why do you think it's not a spec v?
Sharpmaxell 2 years ago

go to another one of my videos and see the badges on the trunk

cvtc is continous, it doesn't kick in like vtec. 5k rpm is the secondaries opening to allow more air in.
