Anyone know if the sword in these clips was custom made for the show? It looks like a two-hander but the blade isn't all that long as he can still get it off his back pretty well. I'm trying to figure out what kind of sword would plausibly work well with Geralt's fighting style. Close and fast with lots of slashing and parrying.

Series is actually very good and interesting.

Many people say acting was terrible but I think it was very good because it gave that realistic feel.

After all that crappy series that are/were on national television (in Cro) this is a true masterpiece.

The movie was a cut and paste of the episode series...I have watched both and I loved the series while I hated the movie because of this..But what I truly love is the book. I want to read blood of elves now...

1) I think, there should be comments about the VIDEO.

2) Yes, I know, that there are many moments only with Geralt, but the video is called "The Witcher", so it's about Geralt.

I don't know if it was translated into english. But all parts of this serie (its a movie and seire ... the movie was made from the serie, some unimportant moments are not included) is here on youtube. The actor is Michal Zebrowski, who played in the movie Old viking myths, With Fire and Sword or in the Pianist :) The movie name is Wiedzmin, what means "Witcher" in english :) It was released in year 2001.

the TV series weren't that bad...why do you hate it so much? Geralt was great, as well as Yennefer...and that's mostly it. I didn't like the guy who played Dandelion. He was too old.

The special effects were terrible, but the sword fighting was pretty realistic. The bad was that the series were directly telling the story of the book. They should have been different!

emm.... you really liek it? I mean movie and series? For me they sucks. Game is awesome, book too, but not movie! Zebrowski (witcher) made this character so unreal... besides special effects are VERY lame.
