For all those who think this is a VR6 GTI, it's an R32 with the rear drive disconnected because a 4 wheel drive Dyno is hard to find. I thought it was a GTI at first, but searching around the forums theres a lot of discussion about this car. Too bad EIP has bitten the dust. :( have to go with HPA/HGP twin turbo for my .:R =]
You kids have a lot to learn about Vw . Not all the car workshops have 4wd testers instead they allocate the power to the front weels from the VAS switchboard (I don't remember if it's called exactly like that) . I am 99% shure that that is an R32 . Correct me if i'm wrong ! Arguments please !
u can choose to only power the front or rear wheels with these gearboxes. its called a haldex coupling look it up. these gearboxes are also transverse like a fwd engined car
its haledex awd can be dissengaged allowing for front wheel drive only because they need to be run on synchronized awd dynos otherwise which are hard to find
