  • This is the kind of music that should be in every videogame for the final level. This music just screams, this is it, game 7, here we fucking go.

  • The very definition of epic.

  • essence of the 90s

  • the funny thing is how sega can release a bare knuckle mobile in 2009(a updated remake of sor1) but refuse to reboot the series with a new game, yet at the same time shut down the probly the greatest sor game that will ever be made by( fans bomber games) streets of rage remake of course... i mean wtf is sega's problem???

  • lol funny nobodies mentioned the fan game of this... good stuff google streets of rage v5 u wont be disapointed. Thank you Bomber Games. Its good stuff it bridges all 3 games together and u can play as any character you want from any sor game. ;)

  • i would love to see a sequel to this game

  • @BHUTANISPARTOFCHINA well there was a Streets of Rage 3, unless you mean you would love to see another game after that one

  • @shanethefox ya another game after that one for sure

  • listening to this again, I think one of my GCSE music compositions used exactly the same chord progression; no wonder it sounded so awesome.

  • Awesome

  • "First time on Stage 8?" "Yeah." "Welcome to hell." *trumpets play*

Couldn't help myself from a Family Guy reference XD

  • 1 dislike that person is confirmed homo.

  • Mr.X's den, damn this shit is dramatic, you knew that this was the sum of the whole urban crusade when you heard this and that the final boss was coming up.

  • SOGR2* i was drunk listening to this so typo :D

  • @inchilada SOR2

  • Grew up playing SOG2... Saga Genesis ftw? :D

  • *Finally understands how to do the drumbeat for this song :D*

  • Mr. X: Hahaha, Axel you are so weak

    Axel: GRAND UPPER!!!

    Mr. X: Oh Shi~

  • @blademaster3142 It's bare knuckle

  • @Zaknafiein in the american versions its grand upper

  • When i heard this all i could think of was flashbacks to the first streets of rage playing as adam an only though of one thing an one thing only to kill the man that took my favorite character....

    *Long Scream* X!!!!!!!!

  • You walk into the building and the first thing u here is the music and a few *clump* *clump*

  • Sounds like a Sade song lol

  • I love this music!!!!!!

  • i downloaded the OST but somehow i missed this song

  • Doesn't anyone think that this song reminds he or she of another song in the 90s that was along the lines of new age world music? I forgot how the beat went, but I always think of the song when I hear this Street of rage of song.

  • @freeman8201 That song wouldn't be Sadeness (Part I) by Enigma by any chance, would it?

  • @eclectica1 Yes, It's from Enigma. Acutally I found by typing in monks on youtube. I'm not sure if it is the same song you've stated. I'll get back to you.

  • GREAT SONG FROM GREAT GAME !

  • Greatest Theme in video game history!!!!

  • I always remembered 1:15 to 1:35...perfect with the beat and best part IMO

    Oh, and 2:33 onwards......

  • The final destination of evil, love it :)

  • *flips down glasses* Dat Low frequency oscillation

  • This is some straight up shaggin music 8D 8-bit nerd sexin music!

  • Btw SOR3 is a total let down compared to 2.

  • @maxwell02duo i agree

  • @maxwell02duo - For me, SOR2 is the best beat-em-up ever made. SOR3 was always gonna be a let down! :p

  • @maxwell02duo try bare knuckle 3 instead. I have a lot more fun with it rather than the USA or PAL versions.

  • @maxwell02duo Like hell it is.

  • @maxwell02duo Such a tragic but undeniable truth. 3 failed, miserably.

  • @maxwell02duo SOR 2 Blaze + forward forward b = broken seriously too.

  • Yeah I played him all the time! "Woohehe".This game is so awesome: the music, the visuals, the controls, the difficulty, co op, everything. My favorite old school video game. If you have a Wii this would be a great download purchase.

  • SKATE!!!!! was the best

  • I just noticed that this is an arrangement of Last Soul from the first Streets of Rage!

Oh, right. Same composer. I know. I downloaded the entire Streets of Rage trilogy on the Wii Virtual Console. (because I didn't have a Sega Genesis.)

  • Man am I ever glad I got the Sonic Ultimate Genesis Collection.

I had the first Streets of Rage / Bare Knuckle game when I was a kid, but had no idea there were sequels, until long after I was unable to hook up my old Genesis.

For the record, my Genesis is perfectly fine, but the TV-set I have is too new, and doesn't have the plugs for the old Genesis adapter and can't hook it up.

Also, I gave Max a catchphrase.

    "Suplex? More like Fuck Youplex!"

  • @Celdrach - go on ebay, you can buy AV cables (red, white & yellow) that you can use with a Genesis! Just type in 'Genesis AV cable'

Then you can play Genesis on your new TV!

  • @Redfield67 Really now? I'd heard of them, but never seen them before.

If only I could afford it.

I'll look into it. Thanks =3

  • Every time someone says the Genesis had a bad soundchip, I show them this video.

  • @Ehal256 well this is one of the select few (Eternal Champions (bone used some songs), Road rash 2, and a few others but still not as good as the SOR series) that took the sound chip in the genesis to another level, just about all others paled in comparison, that's why many think it had a crappy sound chip in it. many devs could not get the genesis sound chip to produce such great sounds, others was lazy and slapped the music together. it did (in my opinion) falter in SOR 3.

  • They don't compose 'em like they used to. Love the melody at 1:35!

  • I swear, this is all that i'll be hearing come time for finals. I'm finally getting out of a shitty high school thats getting progressively shittier, and this will be a testament to how much shit i've endured. I will be fucking ready to ace.

  • When you hear this you just know.

All of your fellow employees and out to stop you. Those used-to-be-stripper chicks with whips, that fat guy, The dude that owns a bar, the retired pro wrestler and his also retired boxer friend, the maniac psycho with armor and claws, the nerd with the jetpack and his killer robots, and the Ex-Con with the knife and all his buddies named Galsia and Donovan, the kung-fu fighters and kick boxers, And that one company suck up standing at his door before you go in.

  • That one dislike was Mr. X.

  • l could listen to this all day on loop. Yuzo Koshiro is just a pure freaking genius!! XD

anyone who badmouths the megadrive sound chip needs a smack in the head with a frying pan.

  • Lots of folks on youtube give the Genisis shit about the music. I always ask them: Do you know who Yuzo Koshiro is & have you ever played SOR II?

Yuzo Koshiro got everything out of the Genisis as far as music goes. & then some.

  • my favourite

  • MEGA Paw! lol this song brings back great times lol

  • HOIYAAAH!

  • 1 dude got stuck in the lift while having the diarrhea.

  • reminds me of walking thru the streets of brooklyn at night

  • you can feel the essence of the 80's and the early 90's in this track

  • Simply a badass theme to tune in to. Very fitting to many urban-theme places. :)

  • The game that made me pumped me up as kid to become a badass adult kicking ass and taking names, plus getting chicks.

  • Did Marky-Mark and the Funky Bunch make this!

  • Listen to this. Then Sadeness Part I by Enigma.

    Similarities much?

  • Comment removed

  • The greatest anthem of all time!!!

  • For me the best music.

  • The music basically tells you: "You've managed to come this far. Welcome to hell. Good luck."

  • @Rabarberskurk oh yeah, especially on mania. oh my gosh.

  • @Rabarberskurk

Perfect. The song with it's harrowing melody of doom and sadness IMO makes it the best and most memorable song in this series; too bad they didn't emphasize the horror of the scenario in the game more. Imagine how dramatic a movie could be made off the looseness of the story (assuming it was done right).

  • @StreetsOfSonic to me this game is about the triumph of good over evil and just plain kicking some ASS :))

Perhaps it feels different for some but i dont think it was ever meant to be horror -.-

  • @Rabarberskurk Yeah, except for the fact that I'm not hearing no "good luck" lol

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't these the sub-bosses:

Oxygen, Mercury, Bear Jr., Vulture, Nail, Phoenix, and Z. Kusano, or are there more?

The whip ladies don't really count.

  • Love this stage, even as a 8 yr. old kid playing this with my older brother ...I knew this was the final stage

The song screamed: "This is it, here's your opportunity... destroy the evil leader syndicate, rescue your friend, reclaim the once forgotten city and lead it away from darkness. FINAL battle, FINAL STRUGGLE!!! Can you SURVIVE??? ARE YOU READY???!!!!!"

  • This has got to be one of the greatest songs from the 16-bit era of video games!!!!

  • Yes! I love how all 3 have ta track similar to this in it! Like the theme of streets of rage!

  • i really like the part at 1:18 and on until it loops again back to the part at 0:20

  • Why does this sound different to me? I have the original soundtrack to Streets of Rage 2, but it was the one relesed in 1992. This version does sound a bit more like the version in the game, which CD is this?

  • @STARSAPPHIRE91

its not from a CD, it was ripped directly from the game via an emulator

  • @Renegade466isback

All right, so i'm not insane! In that case, Great sound quality man!

  • @Renegade466isback no link???

  • @Renegade466isback how'd you pull that off? I have emulators; is it some sort of a file?

  • @MrDevon1987

I didnt personally rip the songs, I got them from asite called Project2612

But its easy to rip with Gens and Kega just go to the sound tab at the top and then click Dump WAV or something along those lines

  • @Renegade466isback it works; thanks for da help

  • @Renegade466isback You know this song reminds me of another 90s song with a similar tune. I don't know how to say the words to it.

  • @STARSAPPHIRE91 don't you see man? this games music is just soo dam good, it actually made you think it was from a CD

  • This music is effin Boss!!!!

  • This song helped me beat a really tough mission in Tie Fighter yesterday. I love combining my favorite games. :D

  • All the bosses attacking at once! How I hated this on Hard mode.

Oxygen, Mercury, Bear Jr., Vulture, Nora, Sora, Bloody, Nail, Phoenix, and Z. Kusano all in a non-stop gaunlet leading up to Shiva, then finally, Mr. X!

    ...Bring it on! >=)

  • @tbone2004 you thought this was a pain on Hard? try fightin this on Hardest or Mania!!!!!

  • @BrickCity4eva Did it, damn near got Game Over because of it, but was so happy when I cleared it.

  • @tbone2004 yeah, I got my ass kicked on Hardest on Stage 8....I beat it on Mania too, no special bonus..other than surviving. Damn...who do you think was the hardest boss on Stage 8 because I had no problem with Shiva or X.

  • @BrickCity4eva I got annoyed with dying so many times to Nail and his many whip ladies.

  • @tbone2004 Damn...I know how that feel......that is hard as shit. Also that R.Bear guy at Stage 5

  • @BrickCity4eva

I'd say R. bear and those damn Robots at the end of stage 7. When me and my brother tried beating it on Mania.. they took a lot of lives to beat

  • @keysib The Robots? Yeah they were annoying on Hardest and Mania..nowhere else...and R. Bear is a bitch to fight. Gah..i hated him...and still do

  • @keysib Did you ever have problems with, oh what was his name... Oh yes, abadede (And his clone Z. Kusano)? I hated how his grapple usually overpowered yours, and his douchey taunt after he hit you.

  • @HoepRemains Hell yeah. Abadede was a pain in the ass! When I got to him.. I knew I was losing at least 2 or 3 lives. Z. Kusano on the last stage was real easy... just kept drop kicking the shit out of him with Blaze.

  • This song was the definition of SOR2...

Streets of Rage... no other fighting game comes close...

  • best song to the best stage ... all the bosses unleashed in 1 pack

  • Every time I hear this I think about the day my sister's ex BF and I were playing and it was hard to play and listen to this tight beat at the same time. We almost beat it but because we had been playing so long I started tiring out, especially since I was the one doing most of the beating AND taking the beatings. Good times, good times. Song makes me kind of sad, though. Had no idea this was the "Bad Ending" from the original Streets of Rage.

  • This is one of the most chilled final stage themes I've ever heard. Very contrasting to all those tough enemies you had to get past.

  • "It's Like BOO!" XD (those who don't know what I'm talkin about, re-play the the beginning of the baseball level, you'll see lol)

Also: Renegade466isback ...you are AWESOME! Thanks for Posting these! And...where can I buy the soundtrack?! XD

  • lol I think that sign was talking about the two firebreathing fatties. cause they look like Majin Buu lol

Im not sure where you can buy the soundtrack, but my channel description has lots of great sites

  • @Aiyume22 I remember those signs. When I was a kid I thought the castle in the backround was Disney's Castle. lol

  • @ZephyrArc

Believe it or not.....SO DID I! I thought we were fighting in Disneyland.

  • OBJECTION!!! What if who ever thumbdowning comments a jerk

  • Why is everyone's comments getting marked down?

Renegade466 you have someone that is very defensive out there guarding this particular video by marking everybodies comments down for no reason.

  • don't disable comments disable the + and - thumbs

  • Man Im kinda sad that this song is so great yet its not in the streets of rage remake. Too bad their acting like sega was with this series and are gonna miss a valuable oppertunity:(

  • @motherfuckinPIMP Actually you can put the song in the game should you download it from the Bombergames website...has to be in OGG Vorbis Format tho. I have this in the "Last Soul" Stage.

  • @motherfuckinPIMP It is in the remake, if you take the SOR2 route through the game. I'm sure the remix will be on here somewhere if you look :D

  • actually he did, him and M.K who helps on SOR2. the sound was just very very different

  • its ok I understand why youd think he didnt. I never owned the third one either but thanks to emulators I could try it

    man that game was ass

  • This song is telling you, "Get ready for your final showdown..."

  • thats the title of the song I didnt do anything to it lol
