the only reason this movie didnt do well at the box office, is because the liberal media was bashing it before it even came out, saying it was boring and all sort of things. this is the same media who now praises every lie that comes out of obama`s anti-american mouth.
Anyone notice the same truck Stallone is driving is also used in the movie The Wizard with Fred Savage? It even still says "Hawk Hauling" on the side of the door in the Wizard.
Rem ember seeing this on my Saturday day out with my dad in 86 and him hugging me and jumping up and down at the ending. We watched every Stallone movie together since and he still hugs me every time and im 37
The generation of today people would not going to understand this movie ever. Thank you God that I was a generation of 70s and 80s that I could grew up with such an epic movie.
I would not say that. I show this movie my 19 year old niece a couple of days ago, and she love`s the movie from minute one, she even see the same things in it like I do! I don`t think it`s a question of age or what generation you are, it`s just about what you believe in, and with what kind of messages you can identify yourself!
Anyone notice the same truck Lincoln Hawk drives is also used in The Wizard with Fred Savage? It even still says "Hawk Hauling" on the side of it in The Wizard.
This is my favorite bad movie ever! So much 80s camp - including the Sammy Hagar theme song. Does anyone else think the annoying little kid looks like Demi Moore?
I love Stallone movies. Most of his movies are about life knocking you down and having the guts to get back up and keep on fighting. "Over The Top" was a great example of that. Movies today are all special effects, bad acting and no plot. Long live the 80's!
I want to go back to my 80s. Was so great time, not like nowdays. People do not make such movies nowdays. A truly epic movie. The movie that people can learn from it, and learn a lot about the life. What can you learn from Some stupid movies like lord of the ring or harry potter? Nothing.
..but he's about to find out.. that winning his son back.. isn't so easy.. Now he's gonna have to pull out all the stops, and arm wrestle for his life..
This is a movie with a message. A movie with gumption. A movie with raw emotion. A movie with HEART! you're gonna learn all about the truly important things in life: Arm wrestling, truck driving, and love.
Thank you very much! ;) I love Stallone movies. For me Sylvester the best action/drama actor all times. People maybe things that Sly is too much violent..but is not true! He is a sensitive writer, actor and director. My favorite and the only one actor all times.Stallone in almost all his films have believed in a role of a man in difficulties and trying to do everything with his heart. (David vs Goliath)
i love this movie it reminds me of my life in so many ways.this mite b my favorite movie, love how stallone plays the underdog in this.his father-in-law said hell always b a loser and at the end he won it,right in front of his father-in-law.
A True Classic I bought it just the other day and felt STRONG Great !! film to watch If having Health issues in sense and being back witrh your family
This was made by the "CANNON FILM GROUP" who were famous for producing the Death Wish movies, with the exception of "Runaway Train" another CANNON film, this is actually pretty good. Being from the UK I actually watched this film in a CANNON cinema, as they owned most of the theatres/cinemas in England at the time.
One thing though, I always have a strong compulsion to want to punch that snot nosed bratt of a kid in this film!!
Wow its really nice to see the same respect for a good movie from around the world. Iam a trucker and sometime armwrestler this movie still is as good now as it was then
just like DAH already goes in here, these kinda' things make me wanna be a proud american, even though i'm german, but i'm comin' to america soon, can't wait! whether you love it or you hate it, you just gotta admit that America is so special :) U.S.A 1#
I watched this exciting movie in the 90's on VHS. I just tried the entry on utube and wow! I regained that old thrilll. It is even more interesting now. The best Stallone has ever done. Thanks for uploading
Beautiful song. Great movie. Stallone is a legend. Over the top and Lock up are classics besides Rocky. They sure don't make movies like these anymore.
im a trucker and relate but either times have changed or director didnt care to show actual trucker items like sleepers, truckstops and shit like that but this movie still kicks ass
i still love this movie i get irritated when people make fun of it sayin that it was 1 of sly's worst movies but to me this movie brings back great childhood memories
weathered79 i think the same, i agree with you. This movie was special.Stallone is the best actor cause Stallone movies messages is about heart, dignity, humility, courage and never give up.
seriosly i lol sometimes when i saw this movie a ton of times when i was younger always said i was goin to be a trucker guess what i own a modest fleet based out cleveland about 50 rigs employs about a hundred workers and goin strong every time i watch this movie it puts a tear in my eyes thanks papi r.i.p.
just reallized that the opening was filmed on red mountain pass. and the town is ouray, co. drove over that pass just last year with 48000lbs of sheet rock on. really beautiful
saw this in the 80's as a toddler one of my great memories, I got older a saw it in a rental store it wasn't for sale but I talked the cashier into selling it to me, he thought it was so old the owner would never miss it. This movie and also rocky has inspired me through out my life, about pride and fighting the big fight, never showing anyone that you're a coward or a loser
One of the few Cannon made films that the critics cannot savage, amazing film, shame that the rest of the Cannon catalogue was not of the same quality as this!!
