Where did this come from, I wonder? Is this a studio live take, or from a gig? I saw them on The Seer tour at the time (in Livingston, of all places!) and remember them playing this at the gig. It was amazing - Tony with the bass pedals like on the record and everthing. Awe-inspiring stuff.
Does anyone still write lyrics like this? This is the background music of my youth, and although many claim their time to be different, I have not heard or seen the like of of a band comparable to Big Country yet. Absolutely timeless!
Wow! @ 0:16 is the poster I had on my bedroom wall from 1983-86 or so. Awesome and thanks for the memories!

Realize Stuart Adamson is doing the lead guitar and the lead vocals. Not many musicians could touch that. Plus he makes his guitar really sting here.

I still have that shirt that Stuart wears (1.21 min.) Bought it in 84 and never wore it-looks like brand new. Will keep it for the rest of my life.

I chose this place to call my own
The only grace I've ever known
I never tire of legends grown
We dream too much and time has flown
