Personal experience: The Beatles were a musical beacon of light to me in my youth. I was introduced to what music REALLY is when my parents gave me some of their old beatles records, just for the hell of it. Several years later, I'm now listening to far more genuine music than I was before then. I think the words "I've got a feeling" summarize quite well what is music today and what was before. 40 years ago "I've got a feeling" was the result of 4 musical geniuses playing their guitars, bass and drums and singing brilliantly to achieve a great deep song, pure music. Today's "I've got a feeling" (Black eyed peas) is a repetitive, artificial, melodyless track full of electronic effects and a permanent, boring and tiryng backbeat, all made with synthetizer in stead of real instruments.
