  • It was his finger in a first place that gave him that sound (SRV)

  • Great job synching the video and audio bud. Pretty nice tone though considering your playing through a Line 6 piece of dog shit!

  • didi you change the tremolo ?? or bought you this guitar in this version ???

  • awesome

  • that is a sweet ax, but it ain't beat up enough to be a SVR replica. lol

  • @dwimpari looks great sounds great, Lefty trem would be a great touch. overall very cool

  • ...the only thing missing: the reverse tremolo

  • which one do you think got more bass response? the vintage noiselless neck or hot noiseless neck?

  • needs lefty trem.

  • how much did you sell it for

  • looks good, although if youre making an SRV Strat replica you really shouldve put fender strat texas special pickups on that baby

  • @firesmoother he didnt make it. fender make them. and yea. it doesnt really look like any of his guitars. i think they thought if they could stick "SRV" on the scratch plate, people would accept it as an actual signature model. :\ but whatever.

  • @firesmoother

agreed. That was the only thing that got his signature sound other than cranked amp, tiny bit of TS808 and his strings/playing style...

  • not a real SRV replica, but ur sound is the sound!

  • paint, neck, tremolo, body wood, pots, pickups, all wrong wrong wrong for this guitar. Youre killing your tone with those pots. And thats not a 62 style neck.

  • a lot of that tone came from the 13 gauge strings he kept on #1 as well though

  • That guitar is made of SRV parts like fingers, nose and all that stuff

  • How much did u pay for this Guitar????

  • Good looking axe, but far from an SRV replica!

  • is that one of his songs or is that improvisation? Amazing!

  • It's sort of an inspired improvisation in the SRV style - thanks

  • Is is based on tin pan ally

  • @dwimpari How do you like the swamp ash / rosewood neck combo? Do you notive any difference? I am building my own strat (with a rosewood board) and am thinking about swamp ash vs alder. Which one is louder / resonate more?

  • i am doin this 2 and i wood love 2 no wer to get the srv pickguard on stevies

  • What do the 1meg pots do for the pickups that other sizes wouldn't do? I just bought some of those pickups, and am not sure if I need to change the pots as well. Thanks!

  • Trem needs to be a lefty, but it's not a bad axe.

  • what amp are you using in this vid?

  • Line 6 Duoverb 2X12 Combo

    (which is currently for sale)

  • Sir. Great guitar, one question. Why didn't you go for the Texas Special pickups?

  • I have Texas Specials on a different guitar - they don't seem to be as clear or have as much character.

  • :O Didn't stevie use those too? I got them in my strat, its great!

  • SRV didn't use Texas Specials. I don't believe they were even around when SRV was still alive. They were modeled after his Texas Blues style though.

But IMO, if you want closer SRV sound, there are better pickups you could get (Lindy Fralin, Rocketfire, Duncan Antiquitys)

  • Oh ok, Im sticking to the texas specials tho:D

  • Stevie used overwound pickups, and also the wiring of his pickups was a mess which gave him the unique tone. He used the '57/ '62 pickups in his #1

  • sounds really cool

  • Thanks - it is for sale on Ebay, Item # 150344365200
