As a kid, I watched my family buy several Pontiacs. Sat there in the dealership while they picked out colors for the LeMans or GrandAm or Firebird. (Anaconda Gold, Sea Foam Green.) Watched 'em haggle with the salesman. Got that thrill as the car rolled off the lot.
@SonAvitch Well i worked for a very LARGE car rental company.And the Pontiac's have been very reliable for us.The biggest POS we have had were the 2.5 Altimas back a few years ago.We had to replaced the engine in most we received in a 3 months time.They used oil very badly and several cut off on customers driving down the road,leaving the customers stranded.I have owned many Pontiac's [Bonneville's.Grand Am's,Grand Prix's] putting 200,000 miles on all of them with NO major problems.
its a great car. i have one . a 6.6 firebird from 1972.

@Hot80s There was no big block for Pontiacs. The V8s had the same blocks, just differend bores/strokes.

@odewepe Umm, there's no such thing as an 83 formula, the 3rd generation didn't reintroduce the "Formula" option till 87.

@SonAvitch What do you drive?

@MidnightNSavannah Both a Ford and a Honda. From my experience Pontiacs break down a lot, I worked in a garage for a while seen my share of them.

Nice commercial. I think it works to targets females. If I was her age then I'd probably want that car.

My Mom used to have a real pretty little '76 Firebird Formula. That is, until my a**hole brother went and FUBAR'd it.
