  • we need to stop becoming dependent on oil and should do this project i hate all the people who say its an inside job, or oh my god what if a terrorist blew it up? jeez get a life its going to have a 9 mile perimeter of security cutting off commercial fishing (another bad thing going on in the sound) and it will help the island get fuel to the homes that need it.

  • Another political hack job for people who think they have the right to decided who private citizens should purchase energy from.

  • General Electric's plant in Pittsfield MA dumps PCB's in the Housatonic River Headwaters there. This river flows to the Sound.

    Hillary supports General Electric.

    Obama for President

  • the cable network that General Electric owns supports Obama

  • Now let's take down General Electric and other companies that pollute the Housatonic River

  • Congratulations you won!

  • Act now! fraudwater com

  • Send an email to Gov. Paterson. Takes less than one minute.

Shell Broadwater isn't needed. Between 168 and 516 trillion cubic feet of natural gas was recently discovered in Pennsylvania just 90 miles from New York City (Wall Street Journal 4/2/08).

  • This is scary and of concern. Many people accuse environmentalists of nimby, ie there is gas over there dig it up and pipe it over there, then send it on my power lines to me. As the ny times editorial indicated, it is incumbent on our movement to be responsible and pro-active in serious conservation, and investing in renewables, including wind, sometimes visible from shore.

  • YouTube only allows 500 character responses and unfortunately my response is longer. Please visit fraudwater.blogspot com

  • Is it true that Broadwater JUST canceled the next meeting because OUR voices aren't representative of all of Long Island? This is ABSURD!! I don't know ANY Long Islanders (that haven't been bribed by Broadwater) that are for this monstrosity!! Let us be heard!! OUR WATER, NOT BROADWATER!!

  • Yo Adrienne!

Let's all make some noise and stop these global predators.....

  • We have attended rallies and events including a NYC City Council meeting hastily arranged by Council Member Jim Gennaro who had initially floated a resolution to support this. NYC Council support for this would have been very bad fr the cause. No to Shell Oil and Broadwater. The last bit though about "choose a safer alternative" I would like to know more about. More renewable energy I presume, and not a shell gas liquification facility. Will send to Senate and Assembly members too.

  • Regarding safer alternatives, for one thing between 168 and 516 trillion cubic feet of natural gas was recently discovered in Pennsylvania just 90 miles from New York City (Wall Street Journal 4/2/08). See fraudwater com for more info.

  • Terrific Adrienne, thank you.

  • Down with Broadwater! Down with Shell Oil! Give 'em hell Adrienne! We already contacted the Governor's office on this.
