  • 4th time Around was Dylan's Norweigan Wood.

  • @JeffreyC2 Yeh, thats what I'm working but still don't quite have enough practice at, but I do have another question about playing by ear, how do you figure out what key the harmonica is in when playing by ear? Thats my biggest problem :(

  • Jeffrey, This was great! I've been playing Dylan for a while and have played with many bands that cover Dylan tunes and this is by far the best rendition of this tune I've ever listened to. Even Bob stopped singing this song with the feeling it needs. Thanks! I really enjoyed this.

  • awesome! what key is your harp? I'm trying to learn it from watching you play, any tips?

  • It's in E....just do a google search for it and you'll likely find the chords I'm using.

The main chord shapes are C, Em, Dm with capo on 4th fret; std tuning

  • Awesome!!! This is the best cover of a Dylan song EVER!! I'm sure you've got all the respect of the real Dylan fans. Greetings from Germany :-)

  • Thx. It's in the key of E due to capo at 4th fret. Primarily bouncing back and for with these chords:

    Capo: 4th fret EADGBe

    Cadd4 : x33010

    Cadd4/A : x03010

Then the change to Em then Dm

Don't be hard on yourself - I spent about a year learning nothing but Dylan songs - just trying to get inside the songs and figure out how they work. I still feel like I can't even do them justice. Dylan is a genius.

  • Hey man well done, great version. Any chance you can tell me the chords your playing?

  • Yeah, it's pretty much capo at 4th fret - chord shapes are C, F, Em, Dm

  • Cheers mate it was the F that was throwing me looks like a variation of F you played, perfect cause I can't play the Bar one ha ha

  • i love the guitar...very nice..and harmonica sounded great too! I agree w/ other's comments about how you sang w/ your own voice...not a dylan-isc copy. Great voice! Your version / voice is great! I also liked the lonely, b/w, empty room / studio setting! fits the mood.

  • Wow, thanks very much for the positive feedback! It makes me feel really good.

  • very nice!

  • Thanks PasLe!

  • Great

  • You are awesome, sir. Keep this up!

  • Thank you for the compliment.

  • I really liked this, you have a calming voice. Keep it up man.

  • Thanks alot!

  • Very well done. One of my favorite Dylan songs.

  • i would love if u covered absolutely sweet marie. it has a great upbeat tempo and an awesome harp solo. i think all youtube fans would love that. cause u cover his songs very well and u have an ability to convey a story instead of just rambling words with the guitar.

  • absolutely great brother.i also like how u sang it with your voice. u captured the mood of the song.

  • Thanks alot! I'm so self consious about my singing. I know I don't have a great voice, but I love songs like this. I've got some original stuff on my myspace page- myspace/diastole

  • Thanks for the kind words - :)

  • ilike it, you didn't dylanize it too much (your voice) like a lot of people tend to.
