The gt28r when starts to boost your engine? Isn't it too big for an 1.4 litre engine? I'm before an turbo upgrade and i can't choose betwen gt2554r and gt2860r... Can you help me in this??
The GT28R starts to boost from 3500rpm ,but the full boost is at 4500rpm.Before 4500rpm is a little "dead".The gt2554r its more perfect for the 1,4 engine and has full boost at 3500rpm.If your engine is stock and is not intended for extreme horsepower,i think the gt2554r is better choice. If you have forged pistons and seek more horsepower then choose the gt28r
Thank you for the ansver, i've just look for abot 220-240hp! So i will choose the gt2554r possibly! I don't have forged pistons and rods... If i melt some pistons i will change them to forged ones!! :D

@loney20 so if you look about 220-240hp i think i too that the 2554 is better choice. If you had forged pistons the 2560r would be better solution for more horsepower.....
Yes i use the stock ecu, chiped, with custom programme on the dyno....
@loney20 Hi loney20, a friend of me had a Uno Turbo 1.4 stock pistons but Piper Cam, with a GT28RS, power came at 5000rpm in 2º gear, 253HP at flywheel 1,5 bar. After that I fitted a 1.602cc 8V engine, with the same GT28RS, and power came at 4200rpm in 2º gear, but not was dyno , my friend calculate 290HP.
i've got a question a punto gt is it really a problem car as they say ?

@NUDIIE is all about maintenance....my car has not experienced the slightest and had stock engine with 155.000km....
i would not say that it is more reliable but in general is a good car....of course maybe there are opposing views from disgruntled owners...
