Real Communism is a community-based, post-capitalist economic democracy, in which the public governs itself autonomously, without the mediation of unresponsive systems of power, such as market regulation or bureaucratic administration; its a society where to quote Marx, we receive “from each according to (their) abilities” and give “to each according to (their) needs."
It is a global change that passes through the radical overthrow of a society of rich and poor, the development of a socialist sustainability to save the biosphere, the liberation of women from ancient subordination, the final overthrow of racist oppressions, an abrupt end to this militarized empire (its global networks of mercenary forces, its torture camps and endless wars), the social takeover of monster banks and corporations — all through radically new forms of democratic control by the peop
To quote Marx, Communism is “A society in which the free development of each is the condition for the free development of all.” It's a society of mutual flourishing. The change we want is to take the accumulated wealth, technology, hard work, science, and connections of a complex global civilization — and finally (finally!) putting it into the service of us all, including the very least and previously powerless among us. It is about the voiceless suddenly speaking.
Communism allows for the humanizing of humanity, the establishment of the humane as the norm of our conduct towards all life; it's the creation of cooperative conditions for all people to flourish to their full potential, not with ignorance, hunger, want, in cold, starving as capitalism creates and demands. That dog-eat-dog stepping on others to get ahead is a blood soaked nightmare. Socialism puts an end to its power, and communism wipes out all traces of those oppressive social relations.
@Giovanni1972 How do people "flourish to their full potential" when a politician decides how they are to live every part of their life? Answer that one. Cuz last I checked, N. Korea is starving because of the all-powerful government there.
Oh crap. It's you--that 30 year old bum who has never even worked for a living. Hahaaa!
@mgsfan15 I had to conclude a while back that you are just a troll since you kept ignoring my answers and persisting in repeating nonsense, after I pointed why it was nonsense. Also, both just making up stuff, and engaging in ad hominin fallacies. But prove me wrong. You don't even know me, or what my work history involves. Or what I do for a living now. @Giovanni1972 There's no way to prove people wrong on the internet. Only attempts at reason and logic to get the person to understand. You don't seem to understand reason or logic. You believe that a government or one man should have unlimited power over a country and that will make things better. And yet, you say that capitalism is horrible BECAUSE evil business people have too much power over people........ Hahahahahaaaa!!!!!!!
@mgsfan15 More lies and more trolling? hehe I proved you wrong many times, yet, you are not phased. This proved to me that it was not a question of you being ignorant, it was that you were dishonest and not serious, hence a troll. You like to follow me because I have a bad habit of feeding trolls. hehe Again, communism has not State, no Govt. Get it? Despite saying that you repeat the LIE that I believe in a govt. "of one man" with unlimited power. That is a lie.
@Giovanni1972 But to get to a communist system we must first have a socialist one (that's marxism). That's tyranny. Now please, educated one. Explain to me how we are going to create a utopia. Take all the money away from anybody that makes millions or hundreds of thousands of dollars? Wipe out peoples religion? Are you so damn stupid that you don't see that the concept of communism is an impossibility?
@mgsfan15 Yes, socialism is a transitional stage, where humanitarian politics are in control, i.e. no more profit over people, property rights over human rights. Workers, own the means of production and the economy is democratized. Concentrated economic power, and thus political power in the hands of the few is, overthrown. So yes. The 1% will have it taken away and redistributed so ALL can benefit, not just a few. You may call that tyranny, I call it social justice!
@Giovanni1972 Welllll, it seems we hit a little snag. Politics are in control. So a bunch of bureaucrats have all the power. And they are just gonna be like a bunch of little angels and create a paradise, right? Oh, wait... last I checked, when a government has all the power the country ends up like Nazi Germany or Soviet Russia or N. Korea or Cuba or any other tyranny. Take your pick from history. If businesses and rich people create oppression, what do you think governments create?
@mgsfan15 Depends on what kind of govt, how its structured, and how power is actually distributed (economic and political) among the people--and importantly what kind of politics are in control, serving the class interests of whom. A socialist govt can be based on democratic control of the workers of all their places of work. Govt, can be made responsive to the needs of the people, though the right of the power to actually yield power, through direct means. OWS showed this is possible.
@Giovanni1972 You think money corrupts people. I agree. But the whole history of the freaking human race has shown that the power of being able to create laws and control people is the WORST, you moron. You can't just give a man power like that and let him do what he feels is best. You know Hitler thought he was doing a good thing by wiping out the Jews, right? Intentions don't justify means.
@mgsfan15 Its not just money that corrupts people. Corruption is not the problem. Its about who is in power (which class) and what are the guiding politics in command. Capitalism puts profit in command, and subordinates labor to those who own the means of production. Capitalists are not 'corrupted" by the money--they are just doing what they are supposed to do under the system of capitalism. The problems are structural, thus power is concentrated in the hands of big corporations.
@mgsfan15 Govt. is just a scary word but doesnt mean anything as there are all kinds of governing bodies. Laws will still be necessary, and some laws are good. Depends on who and what ends do they serve: to make people freer, breaking down divisions of rich and poor, white and black, 1st world and 3rd world, etc--or making those bigger? Are laws created protect peoples basic political and economic rights or suppress them? See, its all about what is being done, why, and for whom.
@mgsfan15 Also, why do you assume I want to give any one man power? I've never said that and socialism does not require it. Real socialism is inherently democratic and diffuses power to the masses of working people. The form of govt. needs to be democratic--no dictatorship. People need to have the right, ability, and actual practice of yielding power, through various creative ways of governing their society. Those details are open but the means must be in accordance with the ends.
@Giovanni1972 This is a VERY, VERY simple thing to understand. People ARE CORRUPT, and good intentions mean absolutely N-O-T-H-I-N-G. Corruption is what turned a person who might have been just like any other, into the Adolf Hitler of history. Corruption is the problem. You are so damn blind you don't even see the world you live in.
And you cannot know what is going to be done, and "why" and "for whom"! Or are you a psychic, too?
@mgsfan15 Yes, it is simple to understand, but it is too simplistic an explanation, too. SOME people are corrupt. I am not corrupt. Many others are not. And while corruption is real, and there have always been corrupt people in all systems, corruption is the the defining aspect MOST of the time. The Nazi's were very corrupt, but that was NOT the problem with them. Likewise, WallStreet and their capitalistic practices entails a lot of corruptions, but that is also NOT the main problem.
@Giovanni1972 No, it's not. You think that people can create some kind of paradise on earth. Go read a history book. You think that people haven't had that ambition? You know what the result was? Remember, the Nazi's were the national SOCIALISTS. And you are corrupt, haha. Anybody that is for scoialism is corrupt. You want to control people's freedom. Democracy is corrupt, too. Yes, I admit it. Every system is corrupt TO A POINT. Because people make it up. But under Marxism, there is no stop
@mgsfan15 Funny. The Nazi's were fascists, not socialists. :) Fascism was an ideology created in reaction against Marxism. Its complete opposite. Guess who the Nazi's hated more than the Jews? The communists, socialists, and all leftists. They went to the gas chambers first. Socialism was popular so the Nazi's used that term, together with a Nationalism, which is directly opposed to the internationalism that is at the core of socialism.
@Giovanni1972 Really? So why was it the Jews that were blamed for all their problems and the Jews that were targeted for extermination? Have you ever read a history book? Last I checked, millions of innocent Jews were murdered, not Marxists.
Oh my God... corruption is what makes people who have good intentions become tyrants or villains! It's so fricken simple to understand! POWER corrupts people and creates tyrants! You want a system that gives a few people all the power!
@mgsfan15 Yes, I've read history books, but it appears you havn't? The Nazi's equated the Jews with Communists. Part of their ideology was the claim of a Jewish-Bolshevik conspiracy. They were first and foremost anti-communists, and communists were the first to get rounded up (before they formulated the "final solution." Socialist parties, and labor unions were banned. The Nazi variety of fascism is notable for the racialist "Aryan" theories that regarded others as sub-human.
@Giovanni1972 Their claim was pretty much anything that could be used to blame the Jews. None of that even matters. The main point is, a country gave one man and his goons total power, why? Because he had GOOD INTENTIONS, right? Isn't that great, he had good intentions. And then he proceeded to use that power to commit some of the most evil acts in history. All for good intentions.
@mgsfan15 The western capitalist put the Nazis in power because they were anti-communists and the capitalist ruling class was afraid that the socialists were going to take over, and win. So their ruling class dispensed with democracy and ruled by outright dictatorship, using racism and anti-antisemitism to manipulate the people. They west then encouraged Germany to take over land eastward to go to war with the USSR. But Nazi's got out of control and wanted it all. Unleashed their monst
@Giovanni1972 Ohhhhh, that makes sense. America put the Nazi's in power... It's so obvious I didn't even realize it.
How about you answer this instead of changing the topic again? Why is Europe collapsing? And don't even try to bring up capitalism, because everyone knows that europe is not capitalistic. They are proud to be against capitalism.
@mgsfan15 Europe is not capitalistic or socialistic. Europe is run by profiteers who claim to come from both camps. Europe is run by the victors of WW2 and look what they have done to her. They are murdering her. Europe would still be healthy, strong, and proud had the fascists (the third positionists) kept power, or even honest Communists, but no, instead its the same old cabal.
@JCistGottMitUns Europe is one big welfare state. It's socialistic, and the reason America is going down right now is because of all the stupid ideas that came from there and are being implemented here.
@mgsfan15 Worth recalling Niemoller's famous words:
First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out - because I was not a communist; Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out - because I was not a socialist; Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out - because I was not a trade unionist; Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out - because I was not a Jew; Then they came for me - and there was no one left to speak out for me.
@mgsfan15 This is from the Holocaust Memorial Museum: The first rounded up were so-called "enemies of the state." Most prisoners in the early concentration camps were German Communists, Socialists, Social Democrats, Roma (Gypsies), Jehovah's Witnesses, homosexuals. The Holocaust killed some 12 million people, half of which were for being Jewish.
@mgsfan15 As to your second point, no I want a system that distributes power to the 99%--most people, that provides for economic rights in addition to political rights. Because with economic power comes political power. If you are worried about not being able to feed yourself, have shelter or medical care, you are really powerless. These made into rights for all as a right of birth takes concentrated power away from the 1%, and allows the people to be able to protest without fear.
@mgsfan15 And no, the Nazi's were not villains because they were very corrupt. Its the nature of the political, social and economic system, and its values and priorities reflected in the legal system, the culture, that determine the basic just or unjust nature of the society. Not corruption. Do the 1% rule as in our society that puts money over people? That is evil. People die so other can get rich. Evil. Nothing to do with corruption.
@mgsfan15 Seems you agree that corruption is not the main problem. I agree it always exists to various degrees. I don't think people can create some kind of paradise on earth. I do think they can create a much better world--not perfect--but we can end using people as means to an end, and end making profit more important than human needs, putting human rights first, above property rights, eliminating poverty, hunger, ignorance, illiteracy, have real democracy, etc. Those are not utopian
@Giovanni1972 Under Marxism, there's no stop to the corruption. You give a man or a group of them enough power, and then they will never have enough. The reason why the U.S. became the most powerful, free country the world has ever known was because of the recognition of mans unfailing ability to make himself a tyrant, and then create a system that is about LIMITING his ability to control. The farther we've gone from the constitution the more we've gone down the crapper as a nation. Coincedence?
@mgsfan15 Btw, under communism there is no State, and its an end of politics. Maybe you should start off by reading the Communism Manifesto. hehe And last I checked N. Korea was a religious State with an official state ideology called Junche, developed by Kim Il-sung who is the country's Eternal President. The state is a de facto absolute monarchy based on hereditary, and cult of personality. You are so ignorant I just have to assume that you are a troll.
@Giovanni1972 End of politics? That sounds great! So where has that been achieved? Educate me. Where's this utopia Mr. Marx promised us? The people who agree with Marx turn out to become genocidal dictators. Tyrants. Where's this glorious paradise? Is it N. Korea? Is it China? Is it Russia? Cuba? Have you ever lived in any of those places? I hear they are great!
Communism is the realization of socio-historical possibilities of mankind for a society worthy of its best potential. It is the triumph of a world community of brotherhood, each caring for the other as they would care for themselves in peace filled Earth. It is a liberated world where humanity is united in one, where people gain conscious control over the social expressions of their humanity in making the world a place that brings the maximum happiness for all, and on the backs of none.
Definition of MARX.... A waste to humanity. Marxism has killed over 110 million around the world and his theory has never worked U.S.S.R., NORTH KOREA, CUBA ECT.. and yes Marx was a socialist who was bound by communism. Interesting to note that Marx died a poor man with only 11 people attending his funeral. So much for a great man lol
@gunguru2012 Actually that is state-capitalism, and a perversion of Marxism, which btw, even if you want to count body bags, has killed far less than the bloody body count and misery produced by the capitalism system, its colonialism, massacres, famines, and war. Its not even close.
Right On ! , Keep on Truckin' I glad that I live in such a country that many 'Radicals' also lived in ! : - ) Peace,Love, and Happiness, yeah HAPPINESS !
