An excellent documentary, and I also agree with 'Elliotts Father' that Peter Woodward makes a wonderful speaker. The combination of documentary and acting is superb. I found it to be both educational and a very interesting presentation of the life of a great leader. While folks argue about whether Alexander was actually Greek or Macedonian (like it really matters), he did not avow either in the end. He wanted to be Persian and Egyptian, at the very least. He admired the beliefs and rituals of others, but paid less attention to his own heritage. This is ironic, at best. And his legacy was really carried out in Egypt, but cut off by Julius Caeser and eventually by Octavian Agustus. But I guess we all need petty issues to bicker about.

They do, however, match to the symptoms of certain poisons. Sorry but I don't think the points you make support your claim that a poisoning theory is 'stupid'. An excellent documentary, and I also agree with 'Elliotts Father' that Peter Woodward makes a wonderful speaker. The combination of documentary and acting is superb. I found it to be both educational and a very interesting presentation of the life of a great leader. "Alexander the Great" was truly a leader of all times and his spirit lives on in the real Macedonia and its people today.

Not a true story at all. They left out many many important things - souch as he having a son with Roxana and 3 children with Barseba (or sth simmilar), a woman 8 years older than him and he met her in court while he was a child and found among the captives after one of his battles. And this is just one of the important things they omitted.
