@LtSam Adams G'day., Well, don't fly this higher than y'd be prepared to fall. It's a Fixed-Pitch Co-Axial Twirligigg... Of a type that doesn't Auto-Rotate. And, once it's up, descend SLOWLY. Rotor-Decay will be a Killer.
Search 'Boomerang Aerophysics' for more... Or, try '1975 Skycraft Scout' the Lawnmower that taught me to fly..! It was safer, in that it would glide after Engine Failure. But the Wright Bro's had a better Aeroplane.. Cheers !
In the event of engine failure I don't think auto-rotation would be a lifesaver in this design - it would simply cram your cranium down into your neck. Takes "rotor-head" to a whole new level.
Nice. It looks like you steer by moving your body...tilting the props. Why waste time on making tilt rotor gizmo. The engines are 2 cycle...right? Maybe about 50cc a piece. Is it better to buy propellers or make them out of fiberglass composite or aluminum? Any who awesome job dude.
We sold ultralight aircraft at a motorcycle shop I worked at in the eighties . We called them WEEDEATERS for a very good reason . Sold a lot of propellers . Want to fly , Lease or buy a REAL chopper or plane . Not saying invention isn't good , just let this guy work out the bugs first . There is no way this thing should ever see over 20 feet in altitude . You might survive that crash .
Dont let yourself be manipulated by German snitchers trolling the internet searching for opportunities to bleach their Deutschland.German soldiers trying to evade fighting were hunted and assasinated till the last day. Concentration camp inmates were forced to march long distances. If they could not carry on they were murdered on the spot, the bodies left behind. Germans being seen as possible collaborators with the allies were systematically murdered.
Due to the small short blades, if he was at several thousand feet altitude and the engine quit, he might get it to begin to autorotate by the time it reach 180 mph going straight down...... not a comfortable thought.
very cool but I wouldn't like to risk flying higher than that in something like that...what if that puny engine up there fails? You're just a skydiver with a weight instead of a chute...
dude, do you hear that? what? [very softly] soi soi soi soi soi no i dont. just listen. soi soi soi soi oh yeah i do SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI oh.... my... GOOOD WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT????? soisoisoisoisoi IMA FIRIN MYLAZAA BLAAAAAAAH! *beep beep beep* 911 whats your emergency? hello? yes we are being attacked by a ROFLcopter! please help!
this july was the first time i have been in a copter. fun yes! the pilot is out of port alberni british columbia and flys shake blocks and such i didnt really get to talk to him much because time is money as you know if you are a poilot (not saying your not!) anyways id love to operate one of these for sure! the only thing stopping me is learninG! it can be done just have to try it.
By the way I had great training in hang gliding at a school in Garmish Germany and Wind Sports in So. Ca., powered paragliders at Paratoys in So. Ca. and Team Spirit in P.R. Thanks to all for the good training and advise. Dave O.
Is anyone selling these? Experimental Cat is far reaching. This machine with a balistic parachute or a way to stop/seperate the rotors is even more practical for me than a gyrocopter. I can't afford to pay to fly helicopters or airplanes anymore. I am down to paragliders and powered paragliders. I hope this idea is expanded in the market like powered paragliders. A good, cost affective and safe idea with an interested customer base is always a good investment. Please produce these!
Fantastic. needs some kind of telescoping tubes with a small bit of resistance to sliding joining the seat post to the two rigid front legs, that way his control inputs will be damped and not prone to oscillation.
