I absolutley adored this film. Having picked it up without recognising the title, plot or actors involved, this film truly surprised me in the way art can only strive to achieve. This is a film whose boundaries transcend the medium throgh which it lies, depicting it in the truest sense of the word. Few films depict its form with such a brave and beautiful product. Pretentious? Maybe, but dripping with the visual and aural natural beauty that man so often vaguely captures, if only for a moment.
the best movies of all the times come from that little country in the middle of the mediterranean sea: ITALY. you around the world you'll have to wait decades before some of your f.....g university will explain to you the meaning of the art of Fellini, Antognoni, Leone, Pasolini... Frammartino!!
I watched this at the Sydney Film Festival yesterday..........
Great cinematography, but I was hugely disappointed. I can't remember the last time I saw so many people walking out of a film after 10 minutes and then in 10 minute intervals all the way through the movie............

This is one of the most incredible films I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot.
The explanation the director gives is profound. Wish I could find it again.
