  • That 1st song is awesome.

  • Did Ron Paul ever publish a must-read list of books essential to understanding the ideas at stake?

If not a pamphlet of them should be passed out.

  • @CRAPCANNONS Yes. Google 'Ron Paul Wants You To Read These Books' and 'The Ron Paul Reading List'. He also provides a longer list at the back of his book The Revolution: A Manifesto.

  • @grahampwright

Well this should be turned into pamphlets and handed out at his events.

  • @CRAPCANNONS I agree. I expect someone has already turned them into pamphlets. You could ask at Ron Paul Forums to see if this is the case.

  • @grahampwright

    thanks for your response btw.

  • ron paul is for the people party! everybody just vote for the man.

  • frik a president that is well read in philosphy and economics thats good enough for me.

  • In a recent debate, when asked to reveal the book that influenced him most,Ron Paul answered that apart from any religious books he recommended the book "The Law" by Frederick Bastiat.

  • Yesterday I listened to an interview of Alan Keyes. He said Ron Paul was for the constitution but not the Declaration of Independence. Alan has constantly emphasized that God has endowed us with unalienable rights. Among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The founders also emphasized the economic right to individual property ownership.

Dr. Paul is undisputably a champion in defense of these rights so I humbly submit that Dr. Keyes statement to the contrary is wrong.

  • Inquiring minds would do well by examining the philosophies that led to the creation of our nation. The Ron Paul Revolution is not a wild plunge into Anarchy as this film may subtly suggest but a movement to restore America, an effort to reembrace its founding principles.

  • He is a strict construction constitutionalist who obviously believes and, his record will reveal, adheres to the rule of law. He is a medical doctor, therefore a scientist with a respect for the uniform laws of nature and their use in the examination of evidence to discover empirical data supporting the statement of facts.

  • The Austrian School of Economics advocates an economic philosophy. To suggest that this philosophy is the only influence upon Dr. Pauls worldview is misleading. He is also a Christian and has stated that Jesus teachings are considered in all that he does.

  • Caution : Quotations taken out of context may be used to make inferences and draw conclusions you would not imagine had you read them in context. The principles of Austrian economics I hear constantly emphasized is free markets, sound money and individual liberty. Anyone with the desire to vilify these have to show the evil in the prosperity they create.

  • why is it so hard to explain to other republicans why this stuff is important? I just wasted over an hour on facebook arguing with a Paul hater about things like this. I used to say the liberals were the dough heads. I am now re-evaluating that opinion. PLEASE get the word out on Ron Paul everyone - he is THE man for the job.

  • @ONLYRonPaul1

Because statists are bigoted and hypocritical deep in their heart, and are merely using excuses to hide it. What statists really want, is a means to be able to influence what other people do without having to convince them through the power of logic and conviction. It is not "what is best" for others. It is always about what is best for themselves. Statists like liberty too, but for statists liberty stops exactly at the point where they personally no longer have a use for it.

  • @ONLYRonPaul1

So what you get is liberals and conservatives who support the liberties they personally deem important and will fight for if threatened by the other camp, but want government to step in on their behalf against liberties they personally don't like others having. It is a deeply egotistical thought process in all statists. They are all miniature tyrants trying to use government to their own advantage. And that's precisely why democracy is a fraud. It's tyranny by the majority.

  • Cool video. At least some presidential candidates don't have to be ashamed of their backgrounds.

  • it's funny just realised. people have never voted for the middle stance ron paul takes. so this entire time it's just been one majority ruling over another. madness. good thing not everyone pays attention to politics.

  • also what is the 'rejection of force'. no force can be rejected thats why it's called force. ie your free will is taken away and you have to accept it and you cant reject it. you can't reject fraud once you've been frauded. nor can you reject a person mugging you you have to react.

  • @TheStfu1000 Thanks for your comments. It's the INITIATION of force, not all force.

Voluntarists reject the initiation of force as an acceptable (ethical) mode of behaviour, by anyone. It's a rejection of the IDEA of initiatory force. This contrasts with minarchists, who believe that in some circumstances, initiating force is acceptable, e.g. taxation.

Ron Paul's rejection of the initiation of force is tantamount to a rejection of even a minarchist State.

  • @grahampwright although even taxing wouldnt be considered force if you had elected that government in ie it's done democratically. but i mistook the argument as the idea that you could survive without a government in dealing with force ie criminal activity. which may be the case on one one of your other videos im about to watch.

  • @TheStfu1000

If a majority of thieves vote on robbing you, it is not legitimate. It is force no matter if the thieves put it up for a vote.

You cannot say it is not force if a majority of "citizens" vote on stopping you from doing what you want even if you don't harm anyone. They are FORCING you, through nothing but the power of a greater number, to comply with their wishes. No matter what political euphemism you use to redefine the nature of force, it will always be force. Taxation is THEFT.

  • @tridentmovies but lets say you're a criminal and removal of your possesions is what is wanted by the majority then obviously thats justified force. for what we define as 'criminal' has to come down to a vote because it affects everyone saying what you can and can't do. the key thing you said is 'if you dont harm anyone' that is hard to define.

  • @grahampwright When someone breaks a law isn't the force applied retaliatory because the law was already stated and by going along with it and not leaving you acquiesced that you will abide by that law ?

  • i dont think ron paul believes in anarchy. he believes in small government. like ayn rand's objectivisim. it has to provide public goods like military, police and law and maybe anti-global warming type stuff.

  • “I have no fear that the result of our experiment will be that men may be trusted to govern themselves without a master.” - Thomas Jefferson

  • Now let's look at where Obama gets his ideas from.

  • Who amongst you will stand with Ron Paul to restore American liberty? Let’s dispel the establishment’s tyranny and oppression of our constitutional rights. Vote Ron Paul 2012

  • This how I arrived at anarchism. Ron Paul is a true subversive.

  • idk about this video. Sounds like this is exploiting Paul's message for anarchism

  • @gooseCha ron pauls message is based on the philosophy of voluntaryism or free market anarchy... theres a sliding scale as to how far people go from minarchism to anarchy... but anyone who follows libertarian philosophy to its natural conclusion arrives at anarchy... i think ron paul is a voluntaryist at heart but trying to do what he can through official channels &he obviously doesnt oppose minarchy strongly

  • Great job!

  • Excellent video. Great Ron Paul quotes. (what software did you use to make this?)

  • @starsassy Thanks. I used Prezi.

  • What a great video.

  • Marvellous hit piece.Extremely well done.

  • Cool video

  • Ron Paul 2012! , end the Federal reserve ,end all wars!

  • Just need to get one of these books on Oprah. Damn, where's Oprah when you need her?

  • Don't forget about Lysander Spooner! He may not have completely embraced the Austrian perspective as it pertains to property rights or the subjective theory of value, but he was probably the first philosopher to insist that the legitimacy of government is predicated on the consent of *all* (not just a majority) of its citizens. And in Liberty Defined, Ron recommended all of Spooner's works as worthy of study. This is a guy who deserves a lot more credit than he often receives.

  • One day real Americans are going to want peace sooooo Bad the Govern "Mental" is going to have to get out of the way

  • Beautiful! I encourage libertarians to educate themselves and challenge statism when possible. Mention something to your friends. Start a conversation. Wear a voluntaryism pin.

Only through education will a voluntary society be achieved. Education in non-aggression.

  • @ReasonAndLiberty Can a voluntaryist society exist within in the constitution?

  • @pureaggression If it is exempted from all of the current government policies, sure. It's like asking whether a democracy can exist in North Korea. Sure it could if North Korea doesn't mess with it at all.

  • @ReasonAndLiberty Let me rephrase, is voluntaryism consistent with the US constitution?

  • @pureaggression No. The Constitution expressly permits taxation.

  • Ron Paul Revolution is changing the world in a better place.
