They just released their 2.0 at the C.E.S. show this week. Comes with a 1040HD camera attached. You can control the QUAD with an IPhone or an Android Device. AND, TAH DAH code is open source. If you go to the AR.Drone Site, you can see all the cool stuff CNN and NASA are goofing around using it for. (NASA trying to make it Autonomous). SCHWEET!
@thezenfuldog Oh and by the way, the AR.Drone STREAMS *LIVE* DATA back to you (no need to wait to look at recorded media. The data capture depends on how much whatever device you are using will hold. (you can also use this on an IPAD or Android Pad Device).
Not sure how often you check your comments .. but this is by far the best demo I have seen. Did you use a stabilizing software during edit? I know people hate giving out their secrets but I would really appreciate any tips. Are you using a canon or gopro? thanks ...
@MuscLA you're lucky for living there then, nice weather,a beach, nice skateparks,LA is just a 20 minutes drive, the only thing that looks annoying are the amount of people there during the summer, but still,I live in belgium and here it's cold and stuff so annoying --' lucky for me I'm going to visit the west coast of the US next summer! and this place is going to be visited by me,that's for sure ;D
@Rowinjahh ik zie dat je van nederland bent! ;) ik hoop dat je dan ook nederlands spreekt :D prachtige stad hé.. ik zie alleen tegen de lange vlucht op maar het is zeker de moeite waard!
-In case you don't speak dutch:
Your channel says your from the netherlands so I tought why don't I speak dutch to him ? :D very nice city, only the long flight looks shitty..But it's worth it! ;)
Ha ha ha ha!! I've been listening to "Apollo and Atmospheres" all day, and then I watch this and think that I forgot to turn the music off. Super dreamy, super cool.
what he's holding at 2:22 is definitely not an iPhone or Pad - so it's unlikely to be a drone. the smoothness is uncompared to anything I have seen coming from drone flights and the reach of the copter also is beyond what I've seen so far (not that that counts however)...
Great work, brought back memories of my time in Venice 15 years back, great to see everything : ))) wouldn't mind you part with your secrets ; ))))
I felt this possibility that all the spirits of Venice who have left us, all our loved ones, are cruising around us, their beach, their sunsets and sunrises, the skate park, the pier, the jetty, the breakwater, just like this flowing film. I'm impressed Brian Eno was chosen. I was just thinking about him today, "First Light" being my favorite of his. Thank you so much, whoever provided this for us. Mahalo
Im noticing some REALLY slight artifacting im rather familiar with :P (not a criticism just a question) did you track and stabilize this with syntheyes?
Super awesome! I think I saw you flying this at the skate park and was amazed by the control -- even following skateboarders through the snake run! Please post more footage, and if you are in the neighborhood, there's a "Guinness Book of World Records largest skateboard parade" for the Venice High School Centennial on Sunday morning June 26 from VB up Venice Blvd to the high school, it'd be great if you can catch aerial footage of the event and also of the high school and the festival.
Looks like that multi-fan round hoverbot thing that's popped up in the last couple years. I think it even has GPS options. Judging by the flight dynamics and his carrying case.
can anyone tell me what eno track is this. Oh Importon this is great. Its better than any computer generated flyby I have seen. ive got to say its so relaxing like smoking dope but without the bad effects.

That is so awesome! I want to know! I'll be looking for you down at the beach. Please indulge the geezer with the funky bike when I come asking questions!
So cool, and the music is perfect for the flow of it, what kind of chopper is it.? I've gone through about six of the cheap one's. Yours really seems to have great control. and distance capabilities?
Looks like he is is using a GoPro Hero shot at 720P at 60FPS.
What's amazing about this video is that it was shot in a single take. No edits. His choreography of the sequence and the skill level of the flying is truly exceptional. He must have practiced that shot many times. What's also amazing is that the people in the scene don't even seem to notice the quad. It's just so dreamlike! This is without a doubt... The best quad flight video I have seen to date.
@vidiot6682 "What's also amazing is that the people in the scene don't even seem to notice the quad."
Are you blind? Look at various kids at the skatepark. They raise their hands to shade their eyes so they can see what it is and some even give a wave!
The 3 guys by the 2 palms @ 15s. The guy sitting on the wall @ 30s (next to the person sitting on their board on the floor). The group by the rail (including the girl in the orange tshirt) @ 36s, one raises his arms and the guy in blue waves!!!
I fly a quad in the L.A. area too... Your piloting skills in this sequence are amazing. Looks like you almost hit a sign post in the skate park.. LOL. These quads are fun huh? Keep up the great work!
actually makes that shithole look desirable for once, Eno works well, thank god you didnt take the Suicidal Tendencies route and ruin the whole friggin thing !!!!
