I have a brand-new 710 Twin-finity that hasn't even been opened yet, what would be the advantages to putting a little extra money up and upgrading to this piece?

@shredchris hey there! i also own a 610mkII and was debating if this unit would be redundant... tonally, how is the 710 similar and different from the 610 mic pre wise??

@PeteWojMusic Hey ! The 710 doesn't have the same coloration as the 610, nor does it sound as rich, but it's a great, more transparent front-end that will shine in many situations such as acoustic guitar or harmony vocals for example. The 610 leaves a sonic print that's pretty damn great but impossible to ignore. The 710 is more of a jack of all trades and all around great pre.
