  • fantastic video!

  • quite sad though the airbus a/c are more economical !!!

  • why dont aerlingus use these anymore?

  • @Barro0695 they were old

  • thank fuck!!

  • Good riddance to it. I've been flying between Dublin and London Heathrow with Aer Lingus every three months for the past ten years. I've always preferred the A320 and A321.

  • @derrinirl Really?? I never got to fly in an EI 737 ! Wish i had! What did you not like about them ?

  • IRISH TRAITORS! Boeing made that airline and now they buy crappy dangerous airbus planes that always are crashing and are made by different countries. Airfix kits if you ask me.

  • @BRUTUALTRUTH well boeing arent Irish either like ! There also built in a different country

  • @BRUTUALTRUTH doesnt make sense if therye airbuses have never had an and they havent had a fatal accident in the last 42 years...

  • hi but arent the wings from airbus made in wales and the engines made in england surely that would be good for the european econmeny.

  • @insectstorm0 True BUT Ryanair get their brand new Boeings very cheap if only Aer Lingis would follow suit.

  • @BRUTUALTRUTH ryanair wil no longer be purchasing boeing planes anymore, they are close to agreeing a deal with comac.

  • @dukeofstradone Not very true they signed a mou Memorandum of understanding just that they are interested more that anything

  • @BRUTUALTRUTH Ryanair ordered over 300 of them just after 911 and got them for near nothing Airbus are more comfortable, modern, efficent

  • where to

  • @hawk45653 I believe to Heathrow if memory serves me correctly, but don't hold me to that!

  • @mythicalireland no it was heading to nice in france

  • @mythicalireland It was to Nice in France, 737-500s were too small capacity wise for LHR

  • I flew Dublin to Berlin in 2005 with Aer Lingus and cant remeber wether it was an A320 or 737, any idea?

  • did it have any passengers and where was it going do you know?

  • @whatstheprob1932 Full passenger load - not sure of the destination but it might have been Heathrow.

  • wish they kept the 737's :( great video :)

  • @planes142 Me too. Sorry to see them go. Glad to see Aer Lingus now has ATRs though - so it no longer has an all-Airbus fleet!

  • @mythicalireland yes, i never new that and i was confused when i saw an aer lingus atr at dublin airport 2 weeks ago :S And i also saw another aer lingus aircraft there too. I cant renember the name of it but i know cityjet use them...... (it has the wings on the top of the plane and two engines on both sides..)

  • @planes142 I think you are referring to the old BAe 146s? Now known as Avro RJ85? Anyhow ity's great to see an Aer Lingus aircraft type other than Airbus!! The ATR looks well in the Shamrock colours!

  • @mythicalireland Yes! thats it. Thanks. Is it true that the four aer lingus ATR's belonged to Aer Arann and just changed the colour to the Aer Lingus colours?

  • @planes142 or maybe a dash 8 or Fokker F50?

  • @mythicalireland even easyjet are retiring their 737's, the go next year, i am really annoyed because i was set on getting a job as cabin crew with them when i was older to crew on the 737, the airbus fleet will never be better than the boeings!

  • @jbingham615 they will always be better. that is why companies are retiring their boeing fleet!!

  • @mythicalireland The ATR's belong to Aer Arann. Aer Arann operates Aer Lingus flights under the "Aer Lingus Regional" brand. It's a franchise agreement between the two airlines.

On the Dublin-Edinburgh route Aer Lingus had one flight per day. There are now three flights per day on this route... one by Aer Lingus with an A320 and the other two by Aer Arann with an ATR for Aer lingus Regional.

I don't know what other routes come under Aer lingus Regional.

  • boeing are shit glad there gone airbus the best

    let shity ryanair fy them

  • @hamburgers1234567890 I think boeing air better than airbus, well thats my opinion and ryanair are not that bad...

  • interesting thing, when she enters the runway, instead of just turn to the left for take off, she made a celebrity round to show all her beauty for the last time, farewell

  • @plaksini that is standard procedure to line up on that runway.

  • @orionm73 , I didn't know that, thank You, but what the reason?

  • @plaksini I think it is because the left turn onto the runway is too sharp.

  • @orionm73 thank u, but I think it was done specially, cause the runway she was departing from is 10 and if you look at airport plan ,( and i was departing from it few times) just wrong thing to do, i insist that this was done on purpose, correct me if I'm wrong, very nice talking to You

  • @plaksini I have seen many aircraft do this exact manouvre and have worked on aircraft doing the same. Sorry to disappoint you but it was nothing special for the last EI 737 departure.

  • I've seen other aircraft do a full turn on that runway. It must give them a better position to get in line

  • @plaksini Departure runway was 16 in this video, not 10 :D

  • There is just something about Aer Lingus they are great - Ryanair should leave it alone

  • lol fire engine escort

  • its nice to see that all boeing aircraft are gone from the fleet they gave a lot of trouble

  • where did it go after london ect was it sold or scraped

  • bye bye boeing..thank god!!

  • very upsetting to see aer lingus getting rid of the boeing

  • not for me, im glad that we support our continents aircraft manufacturer Airbus

  • boeing suck ass. airbus are better

  • Obviously Aer Lingus think so - they got rid of all their Boeings and now have an all-Airbus fleet !

  • where was the plane heading?

  • Not completely sure but I think it might have been London Heathrow EGLL.

  • @m8rkk its dublin

  • I took of on that runway last year on a Aer Lingus A320 bound for tenerife and the Captain said it was rarley used but we landed on it 2 weeks later? Is it rarley used?

  • It is used relatively infrequently. Usually when either of two things happen: (1) the main runway 28/10 is closed for maintenance or some other reason or (2) the wind is strong from the south.

  • That depends on the wind direction, 16/34 is used when the cross wind speed and direction exceeds the limits on 10/28

  • what RWY was that 16?

  • Yep that was 16 indeed.

  • i also flew on that ryanair behind the aer lingus @1;37

  • Don't suppose you took any photos out the window?

  • nope no pics, i flew back from stanstead after a flight from granada i recognise the ba fuel levy stickers

  • i flew home from amsterdam on that plane shortly before it was withdrew from aer lingus

  • Nice. It's in service now with Pulkovo.

  • Thats so sad i wish Aer Lingus still had those aircraft.

  • Roger that. Me too.

  • Me too it is my favorite 737 variant
