  • hey Torrin,

youare definately an artist of hair. and your style are so simple but they look so georgeous. tried this today. my hair was fixed the whole day. without tnagles and knots. Awesome. Friday I have a meeting wiht some friends, than I will try the skyrim...thank you so much again for your vids!!

  • Wow, this is beautiful!

  • 07:30 , a ghost oppened your bathroom door O.o

  • @SMKyra That ghost is named Murphy...he's my Boston Terrier. :o)

  • @torrinpaige

    hahaha , sweet (:

  • @torrinpaige I have boston terriers, except I call my Boston Terribles, since they get into a terrible amount of mischief!

  • i've seen loads of ur videos... and i have a question... HOw DOES YOUR HAIR NOT TANGLE?

  • @gz479 Do you mean in general or ? I suppose it's because I use a lot of conditioner and try to wear it ways that discourage tangles. I will get a few tangles here and there due to the dry heat indoors in the winter, but other than that, I think keeping it either up or braided does the trick. If I'm going to be wearing it down, I run a brush through it periodically to discourage any tangling.

  • @torrinpaige well.. i have fine hair... they are on the dry side.. and if i am not exaggerating... they are three feet long.. perhaps longer. i love braids... but whenever i try to do something intricate i end up frustrated and defeated.

  • wore this to my friends wedding, THE BRIDE! liked it so much she asked me to take her hair out and redo it like mine for the reception. Torrin, you are a legend! Also i sent you the link to a vid like ages ago, i hope you got it, if not put - "escola de cabeleireiro martha neves" in the search bar of youtube and watch the two vids with bold writing. She does some amazing stuff, when i figure out how to do it on my own head, shall upload a vid.Thanx again

  • @elsibef1308 Woohoo! High fives all around for that right there!

  • I wonder what'd look like if before joining the bitty side braids together you braided the side sections... (Which is what I thought happened when I look at the initial photos.)

  • You have so much frikkin' hair! Is it heavy?!

I practiced doing a bridal hairdo on a friend a while back and working with other people's hair is so weird. I noticed how much I rely on feeling if I have even sections, on my head. If you work with other people's hair you have to keep checking if things are even. If that makes sense.

  • happy halloween torrin!!!i know your getting all dressed up for trick or trick...lol....just wanted to say hi and have a wonderful day from tina and hannah!!!

  • Totally wearing my hair like this weekend! I need my hair out of my way, and this is really pretty, and one of your styles I can do on my hair! :D

  • put those pictures of hubby up!

  • @MrRatherino They're at the end of the vid. :o)

  • Wow, I can't get over how thick your braid looks in this video! It's almost like a challah--i mean that as a compliment :D I love this look and it is one that is doable at many lengths.

  • Thanks for this style! I'm wearing my hair like this today and I love it. Thanks also for the link to Siobhan's page. You two are my favorite hair gurus!!

  • OMG Torin, this is thee first ever french/waterfall type braid i've managed to get into my hair without giving up!!!

    Finally there IS hope :)

  • @dawnrader Woohoo! Don't give up, it will get easier with practice, I promise. Remember, I didn't know how to French braid until 3 years ago. If I can learn how, anyone can.

  • Yes yes this is a very pretty braid ! thank you Torrin~~~~~

  • Oh, I LOVE these princesshairstyles!! <3

  • Hi lovely woman ! I am a pretty new subscriber and also a new subscriber of Siobhan's channel. I love you both, you are both very beautiful,do amazing hair tutorials and come up with brilliant ideas ! Both of you also have wonderful personalitys. So I just wanted to ask how you take care of your hair Torrin and how you got it so long. If you have made a video about it please let me know. Love you !

  • @VardaonArda If you go way back in my vids, there is one called My General Hair Care...that's pretty much my usual. There's also one on How to Wash your hair the Proper Way or something. As far as how to get it long? Just stop cutting it! I only get a trim once or twice a year and just leave it alone. :o) Welcome to the fold, Vardaon!

  • @torrinpaige Thank you I will check it out ! And yes my hairdresser doesn't seem to understand what a trim is XD She cuts it way more then I ask for ! I'm so afraid to cut it myself, but yeah I guess it's my own problem and I'll have to find a new hairdresser...

  • Oh, my God! This is so beautiful! I love how you come up with the simplest ideas that look so complicated. Like stating the obvious.

  • I love the hairstyles. I dont have hair, so I use a hairdressers styling head with 18 inch hair to practice on. Its great to try things out, especially if you dont have any 'victims' at hand. LOL!

  • I love the tiny strand of hair on the left of your neck that never cooperates :)

  • @BelleRedhead I've got those on both sides...it's breakage from wearing my hair up so often. I would cut it off, but then I'd just get more breakage higher up, so I just leave it. LOL :o)

  • @BelleRedhead I have those little hairs, too, but mine curl and refuse to stay in a braid anymore. *laugh*

  • gorgeous and very mediaeval like or elflike! i am just jealous about the thickness of your braid! :)

  • Torin, your tutorials and your hair are always beautiful~!

  • I love how youtube really brings like minded folk together. It's so awesome! You and Siobhan make awesome hair videos!

  • I love Siobhans videos too :) She's such an interesting person too :)

  • Wow old man has nice hair!! XD i already follow Siobhans vids so this is cool!! Im doing my hair like this tomorrow.

  • I am so flattered, I'm speechless! You don't know how many times I've watched you style your hair and thought, "Man, she's awesome!" And today you named one of your incredible braids after me! I'm like grinning ear to ear right now!!! And I love this idea, because you're right! So versatile!

  • So, so lovely!!! Definitely going to try this one out and try it on my daughters hair too (if she'll let me... teenagers... ugh) and then maybe add some flowers... yes. Thanks for yet another inspiration ;)

  • YAY for vlog, and YAY for husbands who sit still while you practice your princess braids :) Thanks torrinpaige you make my day!

  • i've loved Siobhan's latest hairstyles :) i'm glad you did an inspired look. Having all those options is nice XD Thanks for the pretty new hairstyle! :D

  • Small is proportional. You have thick hair, therefore your small is larger than most peoples.

  • @Podcart281 So true! But I think Torrin is working under the assumption you guys will be able to figure out how "small" translates on your own hair!

  • You are such a sweetheart!!!

I always love watching your videos =)

    Great hairstyle, btw <3

  • I think this is one of my favorite looks that you've done. It's princess-y without being super costume-y.

  • Thumbs up for your old man! ;)

  • This is beautiful! Do you have any idea how to do Claire Danes' hairstyle from Stardust? When she is wearing the blue gown and she has her hair pulled back? It looked to me like some sort of wrapped bun, but I am not quite sure how it is done.

  • Gorgeous! I agree w/ you Siobhan can do the braids very well. :) That was very kind of you to name your design after Siobhan. She is going to be so excited & honored. Nice job Torrin.

  • @LoriHulstine I am! I'm so so so thrilled! There's a braid name after me! :)

  • How the HELL do you manage to keep so much length when you braid your hair? I do a side braid and if goes from my butt to my bewbs. So jealous!

  • @lerchskat Some braids stay fairly long, but a few of them eat up length like crazy. I think it depends on style and how tightly I braid it.

  • @torrinpaige Well you are 6 feet tall, so your torso is presumably proportionately longer.

  • You always look GORGEOUS!

  • I LOVE IT!!! <3 thanks for the tips!!! :) I use your braids on a daily basis xoxo

  • AWSOME!!!love it mylovely torrin!!! hello from hannah and tina!!!!we thought about you this weekend drinking your fancy coffee!!!:)

  • ^_^ This is so pretty. If I lived near you, I'd let you play with my hair. It would only be a little awkward.

  • Haha, I thought when you started your English braid "She's gonna bun it!" And I was right ;) hihi. It is lovely, all the variations.

  • Great! This is the kind of thing you can do a million things with! Thanks!

  • i saw your nails and all i coud think is well thats torrin for ya very sparkley and very colourful

  • Wait Siobhan is pronounced Sha-Von? I never knew that! I always read it phonetically.... Thank you, torrinpaige, for enlightening me.

  • @xmissmandymousex It's a Gaelic (Irish and Scots) name. most of those names sound nothing like the way they look. Eilidh, Niamh, Aisling, Roision to name a few. (Aillie, Neve, Ashlynn, Rosheen) It never hurts to check the pronounciation of a name if it's Celtic! (Being Celtic's probably the only way you'll be able to say it...) Surnames are also fun - MacKay is actually MacEYE in Scotland.

  • @hakirby I had a lecturer from Florida (At Stirling Uni) whose prounouciation drove me so nuts I booked out his office hours one day and went through Irish, Welsh, Gaelic, Scots, Cornish, Geordie and UK English prounounciations for two straight hours. He never got them wrong again.

  • @hakirby I have a friend named Eilis (eelish) Celtic names are so interesting!
