Hey vintage TV lovers ! Does anyone have any info on an early 60's kid's show called featuring Jingles the Jester ? It was quite bizarre as I recall and one of the puppets was a horrible, lumpy papier mache rabbit that looked like it had been exposed to gamma rays ( I believe it wore glasses too, like a mutant Bunny on Cap'n Kangaroo) If you know anything about this show, let me know.Thanks

The older cartoons like bugs bunny, tom and jerry, looney tunes, popeye etc. would not get past the modern censorship. Heck, Bluto trying to kidnap Olive would be rated PG-13 nowadays. Comedic violence was the main element of most of these cartoons. I loved them as a kid and even now I enjoy watching them every now and then. Nowadays cartoons are so boring. Maybe I am more accustomed to the older cartoons. Regardless, Times have changed so much. Today people try to censor everything.

@MultiChill13 Cartoons were originally for Adults, Then they were made for saturday morning tv or now cartoon channels so yeah, they have to tone them down for the kids watching.

Love how everyone moves up and down in the typical Fleischer style here, and Popeye's lower-pitched tooting sound.

As for the train scene, Popeye doesn't even care he possibly killed many innocent lives trying to save one skinny girl! But then again, the train probably would've derailed even if Popeye didn't come to the rescue, since Bluto tied Olive up using the rails!
