I'm not saying marijuana is completely benign or for children (unless authorized by a doctor) but if marijuana wasn't relatively safe and effective for medical maledictions do you think The American College of Physicians, 124,000 strong, would release a position paper endorsing medical marijuana in Feb 08.

What about some straight talk from the questioners? Medical marijuana might be useful, but let's ask why it's illegal at all, considering that 40% of all violent crimes & half of all traffic fatalies involve alcohol? Nobody has once suggested that alcohol shd be illegal. Several Democrats(Obama,Richardson, Edwards) have said we should stop raids, but only Paul has said marijuana is none of the government's business at all. Isn't that the real question we're afraid to ask?
