of course not, but even doing this as an act contradicts his religion. i imagine his church probably talks about "walking the path of a christian" a lot just to get it nailed into araya's head that he is setting a horrible example of catholics and christians (they're similar enough to say it reflects bad on them both.)

catholics twist the scripture, worship in front of statues, and do a whole bunch things that contradict the scripture. they baptise babies. the whole point of baptism is to profess your faith in Christ. a baby can't count to 3 let alone understand the concepts of Christ.
