  • Wow! Considering the rules limitations, I figured Dave Dudek would go unbeaten forever. Looks like he finally met his match in Lane Carey's Mustang. I'd still rather have the Road Runner though :)

  • Camera was on the wrong side. LOL Go Lane.

  • @Mr7475ih Too bad those F.A.S.T. can't really be driven on the street ;-)

  • @DodgeChallenger426 Why is that?

  • @Mr7475ih Those are strongly modified cars inside. This Mustang has approx. 825 hp and runs a compression ratio of about 16:1. Everything is maxed out for performance and after a few miles the whole engine has to be disassembled and checked.

  • @DodgeChallenger426 Is this like a class where the car has to appear stock?

  • @Mr7475ih Exactly! The name decodes as following: Factory Appearance and Stock tires - F.A.S.T.

But what happens inside - no limits!

  • wow. what kinda rear did the mustang have (or secret tricks)?

i hope i can break into the 9s with my torino =)

  • @rozzwas Its a Ford 9 inch with 430 gears. Secret tricks?.......Where do you start?

  • @rozzwas In the January, 2011 issue of "Hemmings: Muscle Machines" you'll find everything that isn't top secret. I can tell that they did a hell lot to max that Mustang out. The biggest secret is the 429 SCJ (now 588 c.i.) engine that has a lot of potential (in combination with the relatively light '71 Mustang). Well it has 825 hp and about 800 lbs-ft of torque. Runs a 4.11 rear end today.
