ok im an atheist, and thats probably for two reasons: religious practice is moronic and unreasonable, like lent, u cant eat meat just because some old stories say so. and two, religion has never done anything for me, i prayed for 2 nights long and my grandfather still died. i think religion is not an order which you abide by, but a story, telling you to be nice to ur neighbor, be a good person, and not the twisted version some people use to take control of others.

and I am very sorry about your grandfather. My mom died when I was 18. I didn't and don't understand why it happened. But dying is a part of life, it's not God hating you at all. My mom dying didn't drive me from God, without Him I am nothing and I have no purpose. It's not just a nice story telling you to be nice. It's an account of restoration and love.

Not all Religions believe in lent. that is a catholic thing and there is a lot they do that is not Biblical. The Bible is a manual on how to live your life and not just a story. That's just because our idea of "education" is sending people to a school and brainwashing them with ideas of a billion year old earth and take God out of school and out of science, when really, he created science. I don't blame God. I blame religion. I don't believe there is such a thing as God. Religion makes people do wicked things they wouldn't ordinarily do. It doesn't make them behave better—it makes them behave worse. You couldn't get people to hack away at the genitals of their newborn children if they didn't think there was a religious obligation to do so. The licenses for genocide, slavery, racism, are all right there in the holy text.

You can never hope to gain even an inch of ground my dear, simply you will be shown more and more that your thinking is flawed and way out of touch with the real world, if you chose to live like just another bible basher that is your prerogative. That's just because our idea of "education" is sending people to a school and brainwashing them with ideas of a billion year old earth and take God out of school and out of science, when really, he created science. So yes... an "educated" person in our day and age may lean toward atheism and such. Just makes you wonder what us Christians are doing.
BTW, I mentioned the bit about billion year old earth, but really don't want an argument. I hate going to watch vids and seeing stupid arguments. ;)

I don't blame God. I blame religion. I don't believe there is such a thing as God. Religion makes people do wicked things they wouldn't ordinarily do. It doesn't make them behave better—it makes them behave worse. You couldn't get people to hack away at the genitals of their newborn children if they didn't think there was a religious obligation to do so. The licenses for genocide, slavery, racism, are all right there in the holy text.

I don't understand why you don't believe there is a God...do you believe Jesus was a man? because if you do read into stuff about Jesus I believe you will have hardly any to no doubt in your heart that their is a God because what love Jesus had for us is unmeasureable to any human love...a love to never hurt us even when we hurt him...but he forgives us and does not retaliate because that is part of what love truely is. I do so LOVE the Lord. Yet I do enjoy science tremendously as I have discovered that science and God go hand and hand. There are many scientist who actually have discovered the reality of a personal God through their scientific quests. Hugh Ross REASONS TO BELIEVE IS ONE OF THEM...check it out. On the other side of the coin, for many years I called myself a christian having no idea that a personal relationship with GOD was the key. Then I cried GOD take control of my life and the journey began.

I loved the into for his concerts with Ignition and all but this would be a pretty pimpin' song to start off a concert with. IDK, maybe he used it for his earlier tours. Didn't go so wouldn't know. Only been to Boomin' Beyond Measures with Jeremy Camp and Matthew West.

FYI: Saw your comment on Toby's "Let's get this party started video". He did use that about two years ago on the Winterjam tour. It would get totally dark except for a clock counting down on the screen, and Toby would come up through the audience, sing some of this song and then get crowd surfed to the stage! It was pretty awesome!

Partying is whatever you connect that to. It's just that so many people think there is no such thing as partying when you become Christian. Truth is we do party, just in a different way.
