well im 23 now and that was recorded when i was 19 or 20 i cant remember now... i started when i was 12 but didnt really take it that seriously at that age.. technically the answer to your question would be 7-8 years playing but i guess only 4-5 of them would have been taking the bass seriously and practising lots. :D

Hey, I'm not criticizing your riffs or chops, but I would avoid bending your right hand at the wrist that much when you play. I just got out of some nasty tendinitis and I wan't able to practice for two weeks.

my wrists are fine. i broke both wrists twice as a younger teenager, they healed a bit wry.

this is just the way it feels most comfortable to me to play. plus these videos are over 2 years old ive really refined my technique and musical language lol. i really have to put up more recent videos. these are embarrasing

thanks man, this is my cheap ESP ltd 101, passive pickups. its very cheap but sounds good. my bass in the background is a belman 5 string custom fretless. its an australian brand that no longer exists, unfortunate because they are some of the nicest basses in the world. but i now play steinberger headless 5 strings as my bass of choice
