  • He must eat girls out like a pro.

  • I wish i could play my trombone that well.

  • WOW THISS ISS AMAZING!

  • 11 people are trumpet players

  • Best one I've heard. The tonguing and articulation is flawless. This is called a great musician.

  • HESSSSSS AMAZINGGGG!

  • This is so good. It's a new kind of music for me to listen too, I like it.

  • And the hunt for the comment of goldenrocks11 begins..

  • Simply amazing!!!!

  • i can play almost as good as he.

  • Absolutely wonderful; if I could play as good as he can... Wait, that's never going to happen! Dx

  • He makes me want to put my trombone down..

  • Well I don't know if I should just quit now or just go to a practice room and lock myself in there..... This was a great performance.

  • 11 people have production as bad as mine... no wait that's not possible.

  • I almost want to quit playing trombone because of these o_0 this guy is freakin ridiculous

  • Hahahahahaha look at his eyebrows will he plays. Excellent performance!!!

  • darn you 11 people!!!!!

  • I was practicing trombone when I decided I wanna hear someone else play this guy made me sadface

  • @TheGoldenAvenger i was doing the same thing.

  • 2:36

    What a shame

  • @goldenrocks11 Are you kidding? Why does it matter if he makes one tiny insignificant fumble, are you completely disregarding everything else he pulled off. This guy must have practiced his but off, and with you having no videos demonstrating musical expertise, I consider your comment extremely disrespectful.

  • @kylestyyle987 Uhm, it really was a shame that he messed up right there... I meant no disrespect silly goose. I've been playing trombone for 14 years now, and if i played a solo like that i would've thought: "Dang, almost perfect!" Why would you assume the worst and think this tiny moment ruined the solo for me? I oughta throw something at you.

  • psh ameature... jk this guy is amazing i whish i had 5% of his skill!

  • 11 clarinets disliked.

  • all you 11 peaple who dislike this video suck

  • nice slur and tounging....

  • You should play this down at Jenny Watts on a sunday marty brilliant mate.

  • DAMN

  • 11 trumpet players saw this video

  • dang that is alot of tonguing

  • Hell trombone shred... He's a god or a satan...

  • its sad to know that i find some things bothering about this performance... tuning a lil bit

  • 11 people thought that the dislike button said "dis I like"

  • Amazing!!!!!!

  • OMG! IM IN LUV!!!!!!!!!!

  • yo,second highest rtd cmt -we aint the best at gramer eether

  • What brand of Trombone is he using? King 606 or Bundy?

  • is it ok to cry?

  • When he's playing, YES! -sniff-

  • Almost as good as Pinkie Pie

  • If Bill Watrous played classical it would sound like this.

  • i was the tenth dislike of this video. while i found the technique incredible, i just didn't get anything from the soloist. sure he is very very very good, but it was sooooo flat, that after a while i got bored. i meen i would have liked him to do more the tempo and dynamics. and this piece doesnt do much for me either

  • @dandimo12 agreed, no soul. but i love this piece. go check out winton marsalis' version.

  • Brilliant,

  • Great!

  • i want to know who the nine dislikes are. must be trumpet players who are jealous.;)

  • @Landonb1994 people whose slides aren't that clean! xD

  • there are two responses to this video. either makes you wanna try harder to get to his level, or quit b/c you know you never will get there. lol. I am at a toss up here.

  • Smooth!

  • I love this but after watching this.. As a trombonist... I have admit my lips hurt and I didn't even do anything.

  • @linaess i think when you have that much tallent and have procured the perfect omburchure, you can play for many hours and not tire or hurt your lips, because when you do it right there should be no difference between your high notes and low notes (well... you don't have to strain more)

I remeber when it was hard for me to hit middle B flat!!! (tuning B flat)

  • 9 People got jealous of Martin's talent and hit the "Dislike" button:D

  • He plays a beautiful boner

  • Is it just me or is that very first note wayyyyyy sharp??

  • @LordoftheHobbits Yeah, it is too sharp. It's supposed to be an Eb, but it sounds about half-way in between an Eb and an E natural.

  • I account for half of the views :DDD

  • wonderful

  • Another fantastic solo..... melodic and serene. just great!

  • Do the British not put spaces after a comma in a sentence? Read the description for the video.

  • @Governm3nt Well, they do put spaces after commas, but there are several flaws in your reasoning. First of all, just because the video has a British voice-over does not mean that the poster of this video is British.Furthermore, even if the poster of the video was British, his/her actions regarding commas cannot be assumed to be an exact representation of the actions of all British people on this matter.

  • The sad part is, a Japanese middle schooler just learned this perfectly by ear...

  • jesus fucking christ! 1 trombone for sale..I quit!

  • Why doesn't Martin Wilson have a Wikipedia page?

  • 0:42 is heard in the movie "the stars and stripes forever" 1952.

  • Get 100k views this week easily, im not joking try it by registering with Y2BVIEWS com new site launched this week, and post a thank you here: /watch?v=uqwhomCAO6o

  • Room for Improvement (of my own playing) just at least doubled! Awesome!!

  • 8 DISLIKES. Why, because God came down to Earth one night to play trombone...?

  • Does anyone know what that high note is at 0:33?

  • @harrykaps13 That's a very high G#

  • @harrykaps13 E flat

  • show show show! demais.

  • He took a break from filming back to the future to come bust out this solo. Excellent player!

  • I love his fluidity!!! I wished he didn't miss that high C.

  • This is amazing. As a trombonist, my mouth hurts just LISTENING to him hit those high notes =O

  • I appreciate that this is hard, i play the trombone too. But he did make mistakes, it wasnt perfect. Close though haha

  • This is pretty much the most beautiful sound I've ever heard.

  • A great trombonist. Marvellous tone, tecnique and intonation.

  • His tonguing is soooooo smooth, geeze I want that ability as well as the range!

  • C'est beau , super

  • He inspires me to keep on practicing an reach his level which will be a most ultimate challenge :)

  • let's compare with rebecca black's friday. this guy has over 1,000 times the talent, but she has over 1,000 times the views. the world makes me sad.

  • @EpicPhalure I agree so much.

  • @EpicPhalure not everything is measured by VIEWS ON YOUTUBE. lol

  • @EpicPhalure You give me faith in humanity though.

Thank you for point it out good person <3

  • @EpicPhalure You can have all the talent in the world but if there is no demand, there's no point. Why you gotta be judging and hate on Rebecca, man?

  • @EpicPhalure just to let you know, 1,000 times 0 is still zero. but yes, People today generally don't appreciate real music like this as opposed to fast talking about rape drugs and pedophilia.

  • Oh my gosh. Amazing. It's like.. an orgasm in my ears.

  • He's crazy good, I like his performance of Czardas even better. But guys, he has the unfair advantage of being a god damn robot. Most emotionless player I've ever seen.

  • @LordoftheHobbits What do you want him to do? Smile?-_-

  • @LordoftheHobbits It's cause he's british lol

  • i would say that the hardest section of this solo in my experiance in playing carnival of venice is the triple tongueing while sounding out the melody from the background( one player sounding like two)

  • i wish i could play like him!

  • Is that trombone by Conn? And where can I find a music sheet for this? Thanks

  • Is that trombone by Conn?

  • What a excellent Trombonist! Beautiful tone, really sweet and powerfull.

  • Love that beautiful tone!!

  • nice

  • Jesus christ, is that a peashooter?

  • HOW?

  • I am disgusted by your talent. Good god, man.

  • What exactly is the title of this piece?

  • @TheRealPrancer its called Carnival of Venice, and you can find the complete version at the back of many Arban books.

  • i wish my slide was that smooth ):

  • LMAO HES AWSOME!!!

  • how frexible his lip is... wonderful skills.

  • I wanted to hear him play the last variation... but interesting arrangement of the piece.

  • The other trombones look jealous.

  • He's a great trombonist, but I doubt if the words "young" and "well on the way" captures it, this is a 26-year-old recording after all.

He has a nice jazz sound, and great legit chops, what's not to like?

  • 6 people are jealous

  • dam those who dislike

  • This music mostly played by the trumpet or cornet player but trombon, this guy probably practice a lot, amazing!

  • Anyonce got any idea what he ended up doing?! amazing performance!

  • Comment removed

  • And i thought i was good, but im just a dumb high schooler who thinks he knows everything...

  • Comment removed

  • I quit trombone.

  • Dayummmm Brosky!!!!

  • Boy Got Chops..

  • whats up with trombones and moving their eyebrows?!?!?! i mean i don't do it...or at least i dont notice it lol

  • Doodle tongue-ing FTW. Not to be mean, but it sounds like the slurs in the beginning were messed up. otherwise, absolutely great.

  • ohh awesome!!!!

  • so was that quadruple toungueing?

  • That's a Bb alto right?

  • Comment removed

  • for a second i thought it was JFK XD

  • awesome. first note was sharp D:

    but freaking sick

  • Very good sound and high range, but the limitations of the trombone as an instrument really shows. Sounds better on a valved instrument, just because it is physically impossible to move the slide as fast as this song requires.

  • @exclamaforte check out the Bob Mcchesney version of this solo in the Original key,(which is even harder) and THEN tell us about the so called "limitations" of the trombone!!

  • brilhante muito bom

  • that is some fast tonguing for u

  • Holy crap...... Now like all the other trombone players that have seen this I will..... WATCH IT AGAIN!!!

  • Cool outfit, is it possable to get it in "straight" too?

  • @Myusernameisgonnabe LOL well said good sir

  • This guy makes it looks sooooooo easy...his speed and endurance on his horn are one of the best I've ever seen in my entire life....and yes, I am now going to go get my trombone and cry in a corner

  • I dont like this key. I like Wilsons playing but I feel if he would have played all 4 variations by J.B. Arban in the written key(Bb Major) it would have been much better. The fade clap to loud clap is funny.

  • I really need to practice

    GOOD JOB :D

  • this guy is 9001x better then me :P

  • @releb101 thats over nine thousand!!!!

    lol trombone is hard

  • as a trombone player myself, this is amazing, totally so amazing

  • @DAYL069 This might be Jaroslav Cimera's version transcribed by Josef Koestner. Cimera was my father's teacher here in the Chicago area during the 1930's and 1940's. :-)

  • that's insanely good.... i wish i could play like that lol

  • Wow... And I thought I was good (for only studying trombone for 5 years) gunna need a lot more practice I think. :P

    Mind = blown

  • His articulations may be clean, but he's just playing it wrong! Definitely not the Arbans way. His slide accuracy is not great. He just tongues and hopes to find the right note. Look at Hakan Bjorkman. He plays it perfectly.

  • 4 ppl here are baritone players

  • @monkadelic13 I'm a Euphonium player, and i like this..

  • 4 ppl took their trombones to go cry in a coner but could find one

  • Is he having any workshops??

    This dude is awsome...

  • Marty, that was just fantastic. Brilliant technique.

  • no comment just.............aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • I think i have been rendered into a zen state. that was damn good.

  • Holy shit. I didn't even think it was possible to hit those kind of notes, and that quickly, on a basic trombone. My god, I think I'm going to have an aneurism.

  • @DeathSerstlou and play them that loud

  • i play the trombone but im nowhere compared to him

  • The pitches were all clear!HES SOOO GOOD

  • Damn this is reallly reallly good, have to work on getting that type of tone uailty or at least colse to him lmao. LONGTONES!

  • uuuuggghhh jizzed a little..man if i was this good pussy would be all over me

  • The other 3 trombonists got a bit jealous at this video...

  • Umm yeah like im pretty sure my trombone just killed its self....

  • It's hard to clap with a trombone.

  • 2:38 just goes to show that even humans can get to be this good

  • Time to change my pants...

  • in reference to

ApolyonTheSoulRende... lol time to practice! btw. good show Martin Wilson!

  • ooh look at the clock! it's time to practice!

  • I am Going to Go Get My Trombone Now Go Into a corner and cry.

  • @InformationStudio me too ;(

  • @InformationStudio I went into the corner and practiced... and now I can play it. Time heals all wounds... and swells all skills!!!!!

  • I'm with you....

  • Amazing I need more practice

  • triple tonguing much?

  • @jonathanthursty Actually, probably just double. You general triple tongue for fast triplets, using it on even runs (16ths or 32nds) tends to make your sound uneven.

But regardless of the direction he's moving his tongue...It's fucking fast, eh? :P

  • Holy crap... That was cool.

  • que gran ejecución! fantástico!

  • daaaaammmnnnnnnn. so articulate and on point.

  • ang galing mo naman parang balewala lang yung presure mahirap bumirit parang mawawalan ka ng hininga...

The trip from nothing just like the presure difficult to show a high note as you lose breath ...

    wonderful wonderful

  • NAPAKA HUSAY na nilalang non pressure pa kakainggit na talento

    --Love TROMBONE

  • As a trombone player this is amazing!!!
