In America we separate it into different years. One year is for World History, the other is for European History, and the last is for US. (: So we do learn about other countries. :P

It's pro-vacc but also tells about the hype behind the push for a polio vaccine. Read about the famous Cutter Incident in CA where 300 people got polio because of the vaccine. Oregon outlawed this vaccine during the 50s because it was causing polio.
The American social studies just learn about America. In Canada we learn about all the continents and countries
