Even Tehran has more of a European charm. Looks nice and expensive but too bad it is in an Islamic country where no matter how modern the architecture is you lack basic human rights. I am an optimist though so I think it can be a good start for introducing diversity and world class commerce in the middle east.

Abu Dhabi is not the "Real World!" I've been going to Abu Dhabi since 1989, when I was 19 years old. I've seen the growth since then. Money gets the locals everything, bottom line. Most of the workers are from other countries, and are more or less, poor. Way too hot for most in the summer! It's mostly desert! JV
