@sancov I saw 'em 'live' three times and loved 'em. My favourites are 'Open up the door' and 'Old Nickolodean Sound'. All their music was sheer genius.
I was about 14 or 15 years old and sang along. I'm fifty now and still know the lyrics. I saw Sailor last year perform live in Sittard and I loved it. Pitty Georg isn't with the band anymore, but it was great.
was fortunate to see them in the old glasgow apollo...not as a supporting group either...still have very fond memories of that gig, and i still have ALL their albums...love this song, shame the group were never really superstars.
Saw them as support to Cockney rebel in Leicester in their earliest days and this was the song that made me go out next day and buy the album Sailor--- great music and great artists!! Still got and listen to the albums all these years later
got the first three albums of sailor while serving in the army in germanyback in the "70s" absolutely brill, trying to get them converted to cd.
