Sting Rays are the sharks food. It is natural in so many ways. I just don't understand why they would let Sting Rays be in the same tank as Sharks..

@mysticwhitewolf75 because it's not a stingray, it's a manta ray, and due to the size manta rays can get, they have very few natural predators. Great Whites don't even mess with the big manta rays, agressive whales and killer whales tend to occasionally attack. I doubt too many predators would try to mess with you if you had a 20-35.7 foot sharp whipping weapon.

@DannyBISFAJohnson That's not a manta ray. Also mantas have a short tail with no barb. It's actually a cownose ray. They station feed the sharks up top & try to keep them well fed.They also hoped that the sharks would be lazy & prefer 2 eat @ the stations instead of wasting energy hunting. Hammerheads love cownose rays. Shark fishermen will bait there hooks with cownose knowing the sharks can't resist....

@mysticwhitewolf75 Well, they really don't need to worry about. The sharks were moved to a holding pool bc they've been checking out divers in the swim program. They've been off display for several months.  The reason I know stuff is because I use to work there and still keep in touch

@Hallamfoebell This was taken awhile ago. The sharks are off display. No bites. They have an amazing dive program that is very safe with the highest standards in the industry. It's a mystical experience so don't pass it up. Enjoy!

@Hallamfoebell The sharks were aggressive so they moved them to a holding pool. They will be transported to another aquarium. Diving was part of the job. I really enjoyed working there for 5 years. I left because of personal obligations.
