  • Has anyone ever noticed the similarities between the He-Man universe and Jack Kirby's Third World Saga? Some of the characters were lifted right out of the pages from DC Comics.

  • I just hope to God Mattel can't put an injunction on this thing before it gets released. I'm dying to see it.

  • We need this for the Glasgow Film Festival.

  • "I looked at my boss and said 'He-man'. and he said 'He-man'. and we fell in love"

  • I never thought, ever, that I'd hear Lou Scheimer cuss. Rock on, Lou!

  • when i see the toys all dark in the back ground it makes me feel like they are back in time.. like they arnt suppose to be there

  • Wow... that lady was WAY too animated.

  • I find it funny that people can come down on 'He-Man' for promoting violence, and satanism to kids, yet nobody wants to criticize 'Twilight' for promoting co-dependancy, and submission to little girls. Especially to manipulative dominating stalker vampires.

  • @Launchpad05 Twilight was on the Banned Book list. I remember reading on it on the Banned book week pamphlet

  • No mention of Blackstar?

  • I invented He-man!

  • There was a book written about all this, I believe Sweet wrote it, it clearly explains the origin, inception and exection of waht became MOTU. Also provided a defense for Sweet.

  • @crb4059 It's clear that you haven't researched some of the claims made in the book. Several holes have been poked into his self-promoting tale since it came out. Even reading the book alone, one can tell that this guy is a nutjob.

  • 4:35

  • Hmmm...and no mention of Thundarr the Barbarian?

  • The show was shit, the toys were as ugly as they could be, and there is a squabble between the animators and writers and one screwball who thinks his hideous drawings should have earned him a billion dollars. What a world.

However, it's criminal that the people responsible for the show don't get any back end. That is just wrong.

  • @electrojones what so you think the guy in the pink shirt is the one responsible? that guys drawings were pretty decent btw. but they were sketches, y'know for speed and basically made just to get a point across so that further detailed drawings can be made later.

  • That Christer knob kid looks like a lot of fun.

  • What camera did you shoot this with? It looks great.

  • Please release this on Netflix and Hulu Plus for streaming

  • I was Orko at a Toy Store appearance when I was 10 years old-- The crowds were so out of control, we had to run FAST! He-Man and Skeletor each grabbed an arm and my "feet" (hidden by the costume) were off the ground. The kids flipped out and screamed: "Orko is FLYING!!!"

All I remember is being terrified seeing over 500 people running after us.

  • WOW! I can't wait to watch the whole thing.

  • I actually created Orko!!!

  • Lol I still got many-faces

  • This looks fascinating!

  • Wowwwwww! I love to see the finish version!!!

  • F-YES!

  • All lot of them seem like man-children who never quite grew up, still arguing over whose toy is whose. It's a shame really, because the franchise should be for the fans and for kids today who might enjoy it, not about profits and residuals.

  • I thought it was a parody at first then when it came to the cartoon people I wasn't quite so sure.

  • I notice that no one is stepping up to take credit for creating Orko.

  • @Radlein filmation deserves all the credit for orko.mainly because back in the day most toons needed their token comedy relief character.i like the think of orko as a link for the younger kids.

  • @Radlein Would you?

  • I created Bung Hole Man!!!

  • i LOVE the masters of the universe! i had em ALL when i was a kid... ahhh...good times... i cant wait to buy this movie

  • I wonder all thsoe people who complained about "satanism" think of today's cartoons?

They must get heart-attacks when they see Aquateen Hunger Force then.

  • like SOMEbody is lying!.. so who made she-ra??

  • Roger Sweet came up with the name He-Man, and the original prototype as the starting point for the figure's design. Mark Taylor needs to lighten up a bit, and give Roger some credit. In the end, MOTU wouldn't have existed without the efforts of all these people working together.

  • This is great! I love the part about He-Man, satanism and witchcraft. When I was a kid, I didn't even know what "satanism" meant. I had no idea all of this was going on.

  • Wow This is even better than I expected it to be!!

  • best action figure line ever,it can't never be matched.

  • Can't wait to see this! Looks like a very insightful look at one of the greatest toy lines.

  • Awesome! Looking forward to it!

  • It's a shame this focuses on those guys having a cat fight on who created He-Man or not... That said it looks great and it's a nice effort!

  • I created Ram-Man and he is far better than he-man

  • How do I get this DVD?

  • Actually, I created He-man.

  • This looks frickin' awesome!!! A bunch o' old dudes ready to brawl!!! I love He-Man!

  • Really looking coward to this now

  • Woohoo, the DRAMA!! ; )

Looks good. Lookin' forward to the finished movie.

    Keep it up, folks!!

  • Sweeeeeet! Roger Sweet that is!

  • (iPad spell check fail!) With you all the way Roger. TORAK looks a bit skinny to me ; )

  • With you all the way Roger. Total looks a bit skinny to me ; )
