The New Testament was written and compiled over a long period after the death of Jesus. There is good reason to believe the Bible has been edited, added to and subtracted from over hundreds and thousands of years. We know that books have been taken out (i.e. the apocrypha). We know that other gospels existed (e.g. the gnostic texts).

At the very least there is no prohibition against such things. in some cases the Israelites are actually commanded to do these things. But it should be questioned whether God (whatever that is) actually communicated that at all, or whether it was written by men who thought that God had said that or heard from others that God had said that (when in actual fact He may not have). Also to be considered is that perhaps, if God (whatever that is) did say this, then it was context-specific. This means that it may have been applicable to the people He was communicating with at the time...

@Revivalkingdom I don't think it would be accurate to say that not one word in the Bible has changed in over 2000 years. The New Testament was written and compiled over a long period after the death of Jesus. There is good reason to believe the Bible has been edited, added to and subtracted from over hundreds and thousands of years. We know that books have been taken out (i.e. the apocrypha). We know that other gospels existed (e.g. the gnostic texts).

At the very least there is no prohibition against such things. in some cases the Israelites are actually commanded to do these things. Whether slavery and such is right or wrong is not the issue I was raising, however. The issue is that Christians and Jews have changed their minds about a lot of customs and rules in the Bible.

She uses a technique called Cold Reading and it's got nothing to do with any form off supernatural power. She uses delusions that makes she seem to know stuff no random person could know. The trick is to build up a feeling of trust and expectation in you, and then say stuff like "this is not exact so i need your help to interpit the messages". Then it's "You sometimes act a bit selfish, even though you are a good person" Who in the wold doesnt? You really need to google Cold Reading.

There is no "closure" with respect to a dead relative because whatever the psychic alleges the dead relative is "communicating" is, in fact, made up by the psychic on the spot. Allison Dubois is amazing, and has gone through all of the scientific testing, passed with flying colours and proved that she does talk to the dead (she had to so she could work for the police) The tests included the examiners asking spirit questions that she did not know even the question, but she had to come up with the answers - I mean, how could she cheat when she didn't even know what the questions were to answer? You seem to be having difficulty grasping the idea of proof. A full birthdate of a relative would provide some proof. A fact like a full address or a maiden name provides evidence. But psychics do not do this Why? Because no one in history has proved communication with dead people is possible. Can a psychic provide me with my or my fathers full date of birth.
