However, I do agree that this is a fake because it was clearly a pretty big meteorite and would certainly have caused huge bang entering the earths atmosphere. Plus, I tried to look the story up online and there wasn't really anything about it. So, yeap, a fake.

and that was a rather smal meteor so the energy wouldt be high enough to make a big explosion or a large enough shock wawe to harm any people at that distance.

@nazurea you are right it was no fake. I live in Alberta and I saw it fall while I was driving down the highway... second one I've witnessed in my life. They did find pieces of it in Saskatchewan shortly after. There was just a similar one over Cranbrook B.C early Sat. morning.

1. I we cant see the angle it is entering from.

2. The atmosphere is approx 100-150km thick give or take depending on where you judge the outer layer. It would take a meteor traveling at 11KPS 10 seconds or so to travel this distance, this seem to travel faster. The atmosphere would also slow it, slightly.

I'd say this is definitely a meteor.

@HHETVSH0W the chances of getting hit by a meteorite is much smaller, probably by a factor of hundreds of millions, then getting hit by lightening. also, its been documented that only one person has been hit by a meteorite, not killed, just hit. so your chances of dying are infinitesimally small
