  • Well done video, friend! I must say that your words are only half true of me. I once HATED God with a passion, because of events in my life that left me feeling as if God was not on my side. Ironically, my belief in God ended when I let go of my hatred for "God". I realized that NOTHING in the world is owed to me; that I'm entitled to NOTHING. If I want a good life, I can have it by WORKING for it. So far, I've been very happy with my life without "God"(the idea of God. Good fortune follow you!

  • You're confusing a hatred of the followers of god with hatred of god itself.

I hate the people who use god as an excuse for bigotry

I hate the people who try to change the laws to force people to follow their religion

I hate the people who try to force religion into science class and look at you in the eye and tell you it's not religion.

But if god himself exists, I wouldn't have a problem with that. I would be surprised, but I wouldn't hate him.

  • Your voice is beautiful. What you say makes people to go nuts! Some religions make me sick but I think that there can't be a creation of anything without a creator. I know the KJV Bible says the God who created everything also made the weeks, months & years. Is it just a coincidence that there still are weeks, months & years on my calendar? Maybe many hate the idea of God/Jesus Christ 'cause so many "Christians" & religions misrepresent Him so grossly? Have peace people. I hate wars!

  • Your responses, both kind and unkind, are received with gratitude. Regarding those who have spoken well of my voice, I am thankful for your kindness. I attribute my voice completely to God. It was a child's prayer that he well answered. May you all come to the knowledge of God who is revealed in Christ Jesus.

  • Damn, such a shame this kind of stupidity still exists. Religion is poison, and indoctrination causes permanent braindamage. This clip is a perfect example.

  • If you need to believe that to feed your persecution complex fair enough. I've never being given a real definition nor met any gods so I'd personally say I no more hate any gods than you hate a splingoloid

  • ...Thames, Dover, Wight: Westerly, backing South-West 4 to 5, increasing 6 in the West later. Moderate. Good, decreasing moderate in the West later...

  • Golden pipes. Rusty brain. It could be that hat...

  • Ha, did not expect that voice coming. I would subscribe just to hear that voice if he wasn't batshit coconutting-crazy.

  • Well, which God are you talking about? I certainly don't hate Wodin, he is pretty human (ish) and plausible. Not nice, but there ya go. Yaweh and Allah are despicable beings, wether they are real or imaginary. I hate Baron Harkonnen in the Dune series and he definately isn't real. So I can hate characters acknowledged by all as imaginary, and I can not hate characters that are not acknowledged by all to be imaginary. There just is no God, full stop, so the whole exercise is pointless.

  • Excellent video response to this theistic arrogance by BionicDance - watch?v=12F25W7H9CY

  • Wow... you seriously should go into voice over work for the discovery channel or something.

All that said, I disagree with the position of most of my fellow atheists in that I can't hate something that isn't real. I find that I hate the biggoted, mysoginistic (sp?), and cruel deity described in the Bible on the same level that I hate hate Draco Malfoy out of the Harry Potter books. They're both people I'd kick in the balls should I meet them in real life because they're terrible people.

  • I LOVE your voice! Even though you're clearly bat shit crazy!

  • Hm, so the evidence for god is in the sky... Could that be why different gods rule over different geographical locations on earth? Neh, the sky is moving, ehr... no, I mean the earth is spinning. Sigh, if only the world was more intuitive, and it didn't require a high school diploma to get even the most basic weirdness of it. Then maybe science books could be just as easy to read as the Bible.

  • What a mental midget. Such a limited scope and no imagination. Kinda sad really. Well, enjoy your mental shackles.

  • If you truly believe it is impossible not to believe in god, then sorry, you were never an atheist. A dishonest believer? Very likely.

  • I dislike the idea of the Christian God, but of course I don't hate it any more than I hate Gremlins.

  • You see, samuelgodfreygeorge, YOU are a prime example of why people like me laugh at you: your stunningly ignorance. Somehow you come to some sort of conclusion and when you say it out loud you just shiver with pride over how very, very erudite you sound and so you just ... go ahead and say it to the world without ever ONCE checking to see how many THOUSANDS of times it's been said before.

Your argument has been refuted many times.

    Look it up.

    And learn.

  • Oh man, how can you be so obtuse? Are you so in love with your own voice that you just stopped thinking?

Do you not realize that it is impossible to hate that which does not exist? Do you not understand that every word you so love to hear yourself speak has been refuted thousands of times? Do you not READ? Have you never heard of the Samkhya school of thought? Do you not know that it SPECIFICALLY refutes every single unoriginal word you uttered?

Again, how can you be so obtuse?

  • Speaking ONLY for myself, I can't hate something in which I don't believe. What I DO "hate" is religion. ALL flavors, no exceptions.

  • Since I have never met a god, I cannot claim to dislike that which I am unacquainted. I have however, met numerous followers of numerous sects all claiming that they have met a god, and, based on their behavior and pushy unfounded mythologies,I can unequivocally say that I have serious issues with them, and emotions that are strongly negative.

To be fair, I think you are conflating the two, but such rudeness seems to characterize the faithful.

  • And now with the news from an upside down alternate universe,Mr great voice.

  • I thank all of you for your responses. There is much to learn regarding your disenchantment with God and Christianity. It is my wish to convey the love of God to all of you. You may not believe my intent just as you do not believe in God. Yet it is my intent to the best of my knowledge. And I know that God loves all his creations, particularly his favourite creation, Man, who even disbelieves in him. May God be with you all and grant you his wisdom.

  • @samuelgodfreygeorge you can take his wisdom and shove it down his imaginary throat

  • I don't believe in god so I can not hate nor dislike or like or love he, she or it. I do believe you are a fool and I believe that based on the evidence you have given me. Do not make the silly assumption that you know what other people feel and think, do not project your own view of the world on to them, such a thing is foolish.

  • I'm assuming that you're talking about the Abrahamic god of Judaism/Christianity/Islam and not Tikkiwoki or some other god(s). If Atheists truly believed in him and Pascal's wager was a legit argument, they would not dislike him at all out of fear of eternal damnation. They would prostrate before him, sing his praise, smite unbelievers and burn the temples of the polytheists.

    Y'know, the things theists do.

  • Yes, of course atheist must hate something they do not believe exist. rofl Do you hate my invisible fire breathing red dragon I have in my backyard or do you merely disbelieve in it's existence. Of course if you disbelieve in my invisible dragon it is because consciously or unconsciously you hate invisible dragons. Great logic.

  • Right, so my disbelief in the Loch Ness Monster is really just a deep seeded, unconscious hatred of old Nessie.

    Nice work Sigmund.

  • I view Christianity as religion that I am not a part of, just as you may view Hinduism. I do not dislike God, I simply think the conception that mankind has made of Him is not something I wish to glorify. There are some who claim to convert to Atheism to spite God. These are the ones most likely to return to Christianity, and I do not fault them for it. Many people DO need Belief. My sister was a recluse until she got back into Church. I mourn the fact that there is not a convening place for us.

  • So basically you completely dismiss what all atheists say about this in favor of amateur psychoanalysis of an entire group of people - concluding that all atheists are basically lying to themselves? Honestly now...

I hope you can see how this is no different than say - an atheist claiming that all religious people are just lying to themselves because they fear death, or a muslim claiming that all christians just hate Allah. It is a vacuous accusation and incredibly arrogant/presumptuous.

  • Mighty Zeus! Your accent is awesome - are you sure you're not a god? ;)

  • Let me ask you this:

Do you hate Zeus? Poseidon? Apollo? Athena? Shiva?

How about Thor? Venus? Vishnu? Rama? Pan?

I'm guessing that you would say that you don't hate any of them, you just don't believe in them, right?

Well, guess what? That's pretty much the position of people who don't believe in Yahweh. I don't hate Yahweh, I just don't believe in Him. What I do hate is what his idiot followers are doing to this country...

  • What kind of pretzel logic is this? How can I hate something I don't believe in?

What I really DO hate is stupidity and superstition. I hate the fact that fundamentalist Christians are trying to set policies that are not based on fact. I hate that the rest of the world is kicking our asses because of idiots in Texas and Oklahoma want to teach creationism and marginalize real science.

You are welcome to believe anything you want - just don't fuck up the world for the rest of us...

  • Well, in the first few chapters of Genesis alone reveals so many flaws in the scriptures that it’s rather difficult for any intelligent person to take it seriously. The individuals with the less informed capacities will of course fall for the “carrot on a stick” shenanigan & believe it. Worse yet, they’ll believe it with “faith”. I enjoy the Bible because it’s extremely comical. Your god has three personalities: Jewish, Christian & Islamic. We need another to keep it fresh.

  • 0:42 is the set up of a false dichotomy, to assist you in beating on your straw man...

  • I can't like or dislike something I don't think exists.

  • Hey man, have some mercy on that strawman, you're destroying it. Oh, and by the way, nuh uh.

  • I am not Using The Force. Therefore, I must hate or dislike The Force.

  • Which God?

  • Do you do radio?

  • He's just saying this because he's mad at Zeus.

When I heard his voice, I jizzed my pants, btw.

  • It isn't fair that you are using the voice!

  • The abrahamic god is a very despicable character and I surely would hate him, if he really existed. Fourtunately, that's not the case, so I care about him about as much as I care about Zeus, Shiva, Vishnu, Thor, Odin, Ra, Kunapipi or any other deity ever invented by man: Not one single bit. But I do care about his followers, who try to force their beliefs and morals down my throat. They indeed make my blood boil.

  • religion is a fraud

  • You are confusing hatred for religion because of very valid harm it has caused to society and individuals as well as children for a hatred toward your imaginary friend. Atheists have valid reasons to be upset and its not because we hate your god...we hate your belief in a fairy tale that intrudes upon society in a great number of ways forcing us to vocally oppose your beliefs.

  • When theists (mono-, poly-, deists, etc etc..) can get together and agree on a definition of what it is that we atheists actually dislike, then maybe they can take your argument seriously. 'Til then, fuck off and quit telling us what we think.

  • I think SOME (but not all) atheists might actualy be atheists because they dislike God. Examples of that are atheists who bring up examples of how "evil" they think god is.

However, you cannot change the fact that most atheists (hopefully) are atheists because there is a LACK of evidence for the existence of God.

  • The world has been victim to nearly 2,000 years of the Abrahamic God. Abraham showed that with his God there are NO morals. Having trussed up his son like a goat to kill him he instead hacked at his genitals to show his commitment to his new God. In effect for 13.7 BILLION years God made no appearance and then this was how He chose to show Himself. Not even to the Chinese who could write. No, it was to a deranged desert psycho from a severely dysfunctional family of murderers and rapists. LOL.

  • I would have to disagree with you here. Its not so much the animosity to your god, rather the animosity is to your idea of what god should be. Atheist share a respect for deists, as they do not define certain characteristics of their belief based on human emotions. A deist in my mind is an agnostic with regards to these characteristics though their belief is open to include all or either. Atheists (in general from my exp) have contempt only for those who use the commandment of belief.

  • This condescending view of the atheists and their arguments will convert not a single one to your faith.

  • You were lost before and lost now then...your conversion didn't involve any thinking whatsoever as you like everyone else has skipped over 7 layers of the onion to get to the core...i know you're thinking what those 7 layers are but if you can't see you went from 0 to 100 with nothing in between you are not a thinker at all

  • I dont hate god.

I dont even think a god exists.

I do however hate religious bastards who assert their beliefs on to me, and who assume to know what kind of person I am. This level of utter arrogance from these bastards is what I hate.

Not all believers are like this, only the ones who categorize others.. Oh right, thats you!

  • Oh, I did wanna make a serious point about your "hating god" claim. Maybe this will help u understand.

If we discovered tomorrow that an intelligent being or force created life, everything, I'd acknowledge it & show my respect to it...but worship it, No!

Now, lets say we found the Abrahamic god were real, we'd have good reason to despise & deplore, & yes, even hate it. That's bcuz the bible god was an insane & murderous Psychopath!

If u knew the OT, & were honest, you'd agree.

    U still hate Zeus

  • I also hate the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, the Leprechaun who keeps hiding all his gold, the BIg Foot who keeps raiding my trash

Actually, if your got did exist I would think that dislike is how I would feel towards it. Reading the Bible I don't see how anybody could like it...it is a mean and spiteful and evil and thoughtless being who neither cares for life in general nor does much to help out we humans (which it apparently loves).

Good thing there is no reason to believe that it exists.

  • Can someone please coherently define this god thing so I can know just what i'm supposed to hate/dislike?

I'm an Atheist because the religious fail to provide any proof and evidence. Atheism is the result of their failure, that's why they hate Atheists so much. Don't you hate it when you fail?

  • You are in such denial that there is no god that you can not fathom of someone not believing in him.

The bible is rubbish. Learn science, and it will become much clearer. There could be a god, but if he does exist, he is NOT the god of christianity, islam et al. He would have to be so much more than the simpleton depicted in the bible, koran etc.

  • Which god are you talking about? I have never denied Thor and suspect that your denial of his existance is the product of hatred, even though you know he exists.

  • Ah! How sweet. Such childlike logic warms the cockles of my heart.

Now for some reality from my 5 year old grandson.

  • One can despise the notions and preconceptions of "god" or divinity presented by their advocates and adherents without regarding them as literally true in the same manner one can despise the rapine unpleasantness of the ancient greek or celtic gods or any other fictional or mythological entity without regarding it as literally true. This seems to be something your core argument misses or refuses to acknowledge out of a desire to sustain what little integrity it has.

  • By your logic, you are probably a hater of Wotan... You might not acknowledge that, you are not geniunely a disbeliefer in Wotan, you are someone who dislikes or even hate Wotan...

  • ample proofs of god: the sky, lol

    source claimed: The Bible.

    I mean, really?

    Poe?

  • Which God do I dislike? There are thousands of Gods people believe in. Do you hate all other Gods but your Christian God, or do you simply not believe the other Gods are real? As Atheists we just take this one more God then you do and include your God also. I don't believe in Santa Claus either, but I don't hate Santa Claus. Nice try but your error in reasoning is obvious to logically minded people.

  • @bigboy45454545 I was about to write a similar comment. Do they fail to acknowledge this point in order to purposely frustrate us with their willful ignorance? Their motives elude me.

  • Which deity do you mean since atheist do not believe in any gods due to the lack of evidence of their existence?

To worship something without even being sure it exist first, and worse, basing this belief on a compendium of fables that contradict eachothers and has been shown to have nothing to do with reality, is denying reality.

    Why do you deny reality?

  • Incensed? No, just recognize how absurd your argument is!

Antagonism? Do you believe in Zeus? Why not? I think u just hate Zeus.

Let me clear this up for you. My non-belief came about over several years period involving intense study of scripture (in Hebrew), the early church, and the origin and history of (Polytheistic) Judaism.

I learned so much and so many amazing facts about the J-C Religion, that there was no way I could continue believing a lie! it was just that simple.

    But u do hate Zeus!

  • But further:

How could one dislike God if it is defined as the best good or the ultimate good. If all morality and all things virtuous and pleasant emanate from this entity. Explain how it is possible to hate such a thing. It is as if saying that I hate pleasure or that I hate being happy.

No, I contend that there is no such force governing the universe since there is ample evidence to suggest that if there is agency in the universe it is at least partly malicious against us or indifferent.

  • I'm an amateur astronomer and I never saw evidence for the god of the Bible up there.

I "hate" god the same way I "hate" Zeus - they're both fictional bastards.

    Take care

  • Comment removed

  • Sorry to say this, but I'm a firm believer in physics and the Universe of nature and chaos. I can not dislike a fictional character from a very bad comedy novel. But, if ever they film it again, I shall suggest you to provide Gods voice.

  • I dislike God as much as I dislike any fictional villain in books I read. Books touch me emotionally, whether I read Oscar Wilde or Terry Pratchett or the Bible. I will fear along with the victim of an evil plot, cheer on the hero of the story, feel contempt for the villain. That in no way means I believe any of the characters really exist. Same goes for whichever deity you subscribe to.

  • Which god are you referring to? There are a number of options and I suspect, given the nature of your videos, that you are atheist concerning the existence of all gods except one of which you are enamoured.

  • @WildwoodClaire1 The Romans had 30 000 gods...spoiled for choice then!

  • I love this guys voice. It is times like this, that I wish I was gay.

  • Could you please explain this for people who have never been taught about the Abrahamic god? For example a Hindu or a Sikh?

  • Could you just find one opportunity to say, "No, Mr. Bond. I expect you to die."?

  • @lazyperfectionist1 lol. OMT. That was funny.

  • which god are you talking about?

  • This video is a joke or this guy is a joke.

  • so what? so what if people hate god? seems to me he has done some pretty horrible things to earn that hatred. 10 plagues, lots wife, the story of job, the great flood, even the story of jesus.

  • Okay, using your own logic: the existence of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is proof of the Great Green Arkleseizure. Now, are you in fear of the coming of the Great White Handkerchief?

  • I know for a fact that Christians deep inside know that there is no god. That's why they keep hiding behind the bible quotes, cleverly picked to support the position du jour. They cling to this false belief because they really really want it to be true, even if the know it is not.

How do I know this is true. Simple: Because I said so! It is so self evident that it require no proof other than me asserting it.

  • You will have some trouble with theological noncognitivists.

  • I dont care about your false religion.

I don't care about your slave morality.

And most of all, I dont give a damn about your god. Worship him as much as you like, but that just isn't my cup of tea.

  • On the other hand, with that voice I can see you doing a wickedly good Christopher Hitchens impression. You would probably use that power for evil though :P

  • Are you really this stupid or are you a Poe?

  • Fuck god!

  • I dislike god as much as I dislike Lex Luthor.

  • Your voice does not fit your intelligence... At least when it comes to this matter.

  • 1. As has been said, you have a cool voice.

    2. I don't believe in God, but as a character I believe to be fictional, I dislike some of his purported actions. I also dislike some of the actions of The Joker, from Batman.

    3. I know many atheists who actually wish there was a God, so it's not true that all atheists hate or dislike him. Many of them (far too many, in my opinion), love the idea of God.

    4. What if someone is blind? How exactly would they look to the sky for proof of God?

  • You used to be an atheist? Then you aren't paying enough attention.

  • You are absolutely 100% wrong on this but man you've got one hell of a voice.

  • I hate God the same way I hate any other fictional character, but that dosen't mean that I think he's fictional BECAUSE I hate his described character. Even if that were the case, it would not change the evidence; I would still have no good reason to believe in God.

  • Dingleberry. Do you hate Thor?

  • i really believe in the easter bunny. I just hate the easter bunny.

  • i really believe in zeus, I just secretly hate him....she how that sounds.

  • I am completely astounded at the utter idiocy of the statement that this video makes. Stating that my feelings about something dictate my assessment as to the truth value regarding that certain something. This is a childish and quite simply a bare assertion logical fallacy which has no evidence to back it up.

  • We don't dislike god, we just dislike bullshit. It's impossible not to believe in god?!?!? If thats what the bible says, then that in itself proves the bible to be at least partially wrong, as there are many of us who don't believe.

  • We don't dislike god, we just dislike bullshit. It's impossible not to believe in god?!?!? If thats what the bible says, then that in itself proves the bible to be at least partially wrong, as there are many of us who don't believe.

  • Scrapped my previous comment, what is the point, you are set in your ways, how about you believe what you want to believe and shut up?

I am sorry if that seems rude but ultimately the only thing that can come from what you say is confrontation, If an atheist says something it is to enlighten when a theist preaches something it is to darken.

  • Comment removed

  • So, I guess I must really hate unicorns, leprechauns, flying spaghetti monsters and Godzilla too then.

  • "Every Christian is someone who does not want to accept that we live in a godless universe. He may not accept that he's afraid of living in a godless universe, because if he acknowledges it, it will look as though he believes we live in a godless universe."

See, anyone can do that. It doesn't take any effort or any real argument, you just say the other side is lying and dust off your hands. It's a bigger problem for you since your god told you not to lie.

  • Well, if it's in the Bible, then it must be true. Other things in the Bible that prove that it is true: Unicorns Tetramorph Giants Satyrs Dragons Talking serpents Angels Witches Domons Cherubim Golems Sea monstors How silly.
  • @matthewtaylorbrown You forgot the talking donkey, Pope Benny needs to talk to Dreamworks about copyright ;~P

  • But you also need to realize one thing. Many gods are not unfalsifiable. The Abrahamic gods are in this category. For example, Jesus claimed Judgment day would happen within the lifetime of his disciples. It did not. Therefore we can conclusively dismiss the incredibly unlikely possibility that Jesus was some kind of representative of God and start looking at the vast array of alternative hypotheses involving fraud and being mistaken.

  • "Despite its claim that the existence of God cannot be proved, atheism is rooted in a dislike or even hatred of God."

You can not hate that which you don't believe exists. To the extent I have a dislike or hatred, it is purely directed at the sick people who apologize for barbary in ancient texts, let such dangerous delusions guide their lives and even spread these dangerous lies to the rest of humanity.

  • @Gnomefro Actually, I CAN hate that which I don't believe exists...I hate Darth Vader, for example; evil, evil man. Also...? Completely fictional. Doesn't stop me from hating the guy.

    Just sayin'.

  • I'm sorry but I don't agree with you and I think it is a bit arrogant of you to try to tell us what we believe. To illustrate, think about what opinion you have of Thor, do you dislike/hate him? My guess is no, you simply does not believe that he exists. That is the same way I feel about your god.

However I might dislike religion and what it does, but I don't waste my time hating a fictional character.

  • If Atheists are seeking after truth, the following quote sums up my own journey for truth. In the words of Simone Weil: "Christ likes us to prefer truth to him because, before being Christ, he is Truth. If one turns aside from him to go toward the truth, one will not go far before falling into his arms."

  • @SynerJetics "Christ likes us to prefer truth to him because, before being Christ, he is Truth. "

Truth is a correspondence between statements and actual states of affairs out in reality. Therefore, not entity could ever *be* Truth. To say something like that is to be hopelessly confused or wildly dishonest. I suspect it's usually the latter, to be able to make silly statements like what you quote. "Oh, you think Truth is important? Well, then you basically believe in Jesus"

  • @SynerJetics It's much like Christians dishonestly try to take ownership of the concept of "good". Because they make statements like "God is good", then clearly you must be "bad" if you're not a Christian. Even though the Christian use of the word "good" implies that "good" agents can drown all of mankind and order the burning of young girls for having sex, making the word meaningless, but still a motivating factor to chase down all nonbelievers and kill them.

  • @SynerJetics There are a few problems with that statement, the biggest one being that you assume he exists at all.
