  • why 6 displays and not 2 52" Screens.

  • too bad they are all 4:3 and not 16:9, you can get the same effect with only 3 wide screens. but it looks cool though! what resolution are you running and what VGU?

  • seems like a big waste of time and money

  • @mikeyg3733 yeah seems like it ... :P ... but still its looks nice and didn't cost me a dime

  • how did you get horizontal span

  • @temaskell08 3 PC's with each 2 Monitors ... then just used the sync feature of xplane to get the right views on the PC's

  • boring

  • Well look on the bright side, while running X-Plane on six monitors, you can grill steaks on your P.C.

    Multi-tasking at its finest.

  • Its not all on one computer. X-Plane has a built in networking system which allows you to run multiple copies of X-Plane on seperate computers and use one display for each computer.

X-Plane does NOT allow you to split views on one computer.

  • But the operating system it's running on does, you retard.

  • You stupid idiot, one computer is the server which IS NOT doing as much work as you think it is.

Each computer is doing its own job at displaying the DATA that the main SERVER COMPUTER gives out. The Server isnt doing that much work ok?

Mabey you should LEARN A little about computers before posting something stupid like you did.

  • You stupid idiot. I'm not refuting that, am I? I'm saying that you can set up multiple monitors in Windows and run 1 copy of X-Plane over as many monitors via 1 computer. I'm a computer technician, maybe you should learn. Fuck off.

  • I have X-Plane. I run it over 4 monitors, and only one copy of the game. Serge933, you have no fucking idea what you're talking about. Please shut the fuck up you asshole.

  • you only need one CD/DVD in one computer, but copys of the program files on the slave machines

and the slave pc's will show the additional views even if they are running the demo version (running without the orignal cd in the drive)

so serge was right in some way ...

  • User Jizzay wasn't refuting that. Nor am I. You can run XPlane on multiple monitors with one copy of the game on one computer. That's my only point.

  • correct, but most people don't have a video card with more than 2 outputs or a second video card

but maybe a laptop or a older pc, so that's why my option ...

in this video i ran xplane in demo mode on all 3 pc's and just let the AI fly the plane

  • Oh, guess what! I have X-Plane Aswell! OMG its amazing, and guess what! I have to have a fucking copy oif the game on each seperate computer. Now, if you have 2 gfx cards on one computer with 2 outputs each, then ok, but im talking about seperate computers for each display.

  • And it was also said it wasn't refuted. You make me laugh. lol.

  • this is at work, so that's why no joystick ... i did found some gamepad's, but they didn't work ...

and watch you language buddy ...

  • Obviously the graphics cards are shitting a brick right now. lol

  • I would have stacked 3 on 3 because it's too wide

  • cool ! but if you have enough free money to buy 6 displays, you should buy a joystick too, instead of flying a 747 with a keyboard. (if this is the United 747) it really makes the whole thing better.

  • Nice!

  • lol u will get so drawn into the game, when it crashes u cover ur head and scream

  • haha, you made me laugh

  • I do that with oone moniter

  • hahaha i imagine people will

  • by the way, how did u manage x-plane with different computers? is there a way to share them with the network? i thought about a solution one computer managing scenery the other the panel or something like that...

  • I have 2 x 22" Monitors, anyone recommend how I would setup my displays with X-Plane? I want to avoid using a split cocpit. Tried that it was not confortable to fly. Maybe I can set up 1 for cocpit the other for instruments or left/right window? dunno... any ideas?

  • set your monitors to a resolution of 2048x768 and do the same with x-plane in rendering options. try to take a plane with 3d cockpit and use a powerful graphic-card. Tat s the best effektand don forget to set the field of view to maybe 80 deg.

  • Okie many thanks... will try that...especially the field of view setting (haven't thought to change that). I also do have a powerful PC with an nvidia 8800 gts. That should hopefully run it smoothly enough :)

  • thats brilliant! thanks for sharing.

  • not with current Avgas prices

  • sometimes less is more..

  • what's with the split instrument panel? That has got to go!!

  • why setup 5 display when i have 6

    that's why the split panel

this was just for fun ...

had a couple of pc's in my storage and wanted to do something with them.

  • I'm going to try this with 4,5, and then 6 displays. Seems like 5 would be the way to go.

  • Where is the best place to get the newest version of x-plane?I had it years ago and really learned a bunch of IFR stuff on it.

  • bittorent

  • Thanks

  • I'm running mine on 3 19" monitors. 6 is just overkill if you ask me. Flying with the cockpit split in two? No thanks. Interesting though anyways.

  • O.O wow

  • what video card do u use

  • i had three pc's each with a PCI-E Geforce 7600GS dual dvi

  • Nice rig for X-Plane )

  • ok... lol nice. i love it.

  • x-plane on 6 displays with "keyboard" eh? Thats what i call wierd.

  • i was at work, so i didn't had a joystick, but a pair of wireless gamepads with analog sticks.

which sadly didn't work (both). so i just put xplane on autopilot and changed the view via keyboard.

  • Ok =)

  • Excellent, what is the next step? i would like to see this on a 6x3 screens panel... lol

  • JESUS CHRIST!

  • Does anyone know where you can buy/copy in extra planes for this game?

  • Wow, how'd you do it?

  • holy shi-

  • Its terrible that you had to sell your chair and joystick to buy all those displays and graphics cards

  • ;P, no no, isn't that bad

i actually had some spare time at work, some pc's and displays lying around

  • since you can afford all that you should also use fsx its cool too i like better get fsx

  • ur set up is bloody awesome though, u get a better perspective of da surrounding land etc

  • how would one set up this type of display on fs9 or fsx??

  • don't know

    never tried it ...

  • they should make a monitor that big lol wouldint have 2 deal with the cutting from the side of the monitors lol cost like 4000$-10,000$ beaners wont buy it they are smellyass worthlessass poor ppls

  • WTF does beaners have to do with a flight sim? Dumbass 10 yr old!

  • This would work better with a virtual cockpit like the ones in Fsim...

  • Cool, but I wouldn't want to play with that, it would give me a headache. Why the heck didn't you do 3 by 3, so 1) you would have a full center and not split in half and 2) You could actually see something other than the horizon. I couldn't care less about a 360 degree ring if it's 20 pixels high.

  • E-pimps are idiots!

  • I know how to do this, I just can't afford that many monitors. X_X

  • I'm running 3 widescreen monitors with Triplehead2Go and it works great! You can go to my page and view my videos. Non of them show the 3 screens, but when I took them all screens were on and running. I get excellent framerates off of one PC. You really need a 7th monitor for the center so you don't cut the cockpit in half like that. That would drive me crazy. Cool dude.

  • Neat trick! Bet it puts a hell of a load on the systems.

  • Nice Vid. Can you tell me how did you do that setup

  • this is quite simple

just connect some pc's together via lan (disable the firewall just in case)

start x-plane on every machine (this also works with the demo)

then you need to go to the settings "data input & output" and select the tab "inet 2"

  • now one of the pc's needs to be the master

just on the master pc you activate the checkboxes "ip addr. of extra: visual ..." and enter the ip adress for as many as you have additional pc's

on the pc's wich will be an extra visual, you need to go to the same settings window and activate the checkbox "ip addr. of master machine (this is extra visual)" and enter the ip adress of the master machine

    then it should work

  • Hmmmm.... early Cinemascope TV!~

  • ANNOYING CRAP AAD X470

  • cool man

  • does that work with 3D cockpit/track IR/mouseview too?

  • nice setup, but IMO you should have gotten say 3 widescreen monitors, BUT if it's just what you found for pretty cheap, it RULES

  • Wow, Thats cool!
