Motorweek Illustrated was on Saturday afternoons on Ted Turner's cable super station, TBS. It was the precursor of ESPN's Speedweek and similar shows to follow.
I believe I confused it with Speedweek, but this and Speedweek still had the same music (the spooky tune). I was confused by that.
That Motor Week productions intro was a little trippy.

Motorweek was also the name of a show, I believe it aired on ESPN. Varsha and Despain were the hosts. They used the same music as this theme.

I have an episode on tape, and the ads are for a CART race on ESPN, and Baseball Tonight. It also had similar graphics as ESPN.

Wow, TBS had a weird, ghost-like intro back in the day. That was spooky and uneasy to the ears.
And Mike Joy with a beard, man battalionfan888, send that to FOX. They would get a serious kick out of that!

TBS was always weird in their coverage, music, commentators (Richard Petty did NOT belong in the booth),and the coverage was campy
