  • you should turn it on to see how is the nois

  • i have had this same fan for 4 years now and it's doing fine. just got a phenom ii x4 925 that runs stock at 200x14 mhz (2.8 Ghz) oc'd the fsb to 250mhz with same multiplier (3.5 Ghz) and i am idling at 32 degrees Celsius and on load at 47, which is fantastic for an air cooler.

  • Dude the intro is almost a minute and a half. Just get to the review....

  • 1.20 to skip the crap

  • Holy moly!! 80 to 90 degrees isnt healthy!!

Might wanna check that you didnt mount it upsidedown... Oh wel....

  • I bet you installed this thing incorrectly, those temps are just unreal for an aftermarket high end cooler. Stop making overkill intros for badly rendered videos and instead learn how to properly install heatsinks...

  • Will be this cooler working good with INTEL Core 2 Quad Q8300 and on 350W source?? Thx for your reply

  • isnt that why amd is beter there max temp is 64c you up at 90c wow

  • cool video

  • Im sorry, but those numbers may have been correct for you, but those are not the temps this cooler normally works at under load. I would recommend this 9700 to anyone looking for a really nice heatsink and fan for a decent price. The reg 9700 is only $46 atm.

  • 80 seconds intro... 0.O

    What the...

There should be law forbidding it

  • it wont fit with my socket am2??

  • @atalis1 Yes it does.

  • @Willet05 No! It doesnt.

I used the manuel after i tried 1000 times.

It doesnt fit with my Motherboard and it is AM2!

  • @atalis1 Well if you go to the details section of the Newegg page for this device it clearly states that it does. So its either a problem with the manufacturer, Newegg or the consumer.

  • You like snitzels?

  • stress test for 6 hours on 100% load? yeah, just about any air cooler it's size wouldn't be able to keep the CPU below 70 degrees... try a bigger size or water - cooling. Also benchmarking is virtually pointless because you probably will never use 100% of your Quad Core processor in your lifetime, for 6 hours. Most people who benchmark only do it for 1-2 hours I believe lmao

  • @Aloyalgamer Truth.

  • this is youtube, 25 second long intros are bullshit

  • Nevermind...

  • you showed all corners but the back, i just wanted to know if it had 1 or 2 fans...

  • The original came with a manual dial to change the fan speed, this one just plugs into your mother board and adjusts itself if needed depending on the temp, its more automated.

  • Anyone with an AMD 965 BE and have this cooler?

  • Anyone with an AMD 965 BE and have this cooler?

  • what is the diffrents between this and the Zalman CNPS9500 ?

  • beautiful........

  • intro is too long

  • i got a CNPS 9900 NT itssit better than this?

  • Uhm what's the different between Zalman CNPS-9700NT and the normal1? plz reply.

Ye i know its black but is it anything else cuz its more expensive.

  • @D4reko

    don't really know

  • @pkerry12 nt is nickel plated, doesnt come with fanmate cuz it has a 4pin connector and is PWM controlled

  • @pkerry12 the NT version i believe is a 4 pin connection to a motherboard, for those motherboards that have bios level software to change the fan speed based on cpu temp. the regular one, which i believe is all copper, is just a 3 pin connection. I ordered the NT version with a new tube of thermal paste (arctic silver 5) to put on my quad core next monday, because my cores are at 80 idle

  • NT is the green one

  • Green what? do you mean the little nvidia icon on the middle of the fan?

  • its nickel plated, it has an awesome nvidia logo on the fan and it is green LED plus looks wayy nicer than plain copper

  • @D4reko Difference between "normal" and black one is that the black one got some chemicals on it so it doesn't oxide(copper breaks down to sand/dust particles). Or we could just call it rust.

  • @D4reko one has a chrome shine, and there other has the standard copper look

  • @D4reko green led. thats all know.

  • @D4reko im thinking it might be that...its got an nvidia logo on it

  • @D4reko They are the same in dimension and cooling capabilities the NT uses a green led & a PWM Fan (pulse width modulation) to control the speed automatically, The standard uses a blue led and supplies you with the fan mate 2 speed controler, I started off with the 9700 but my system changed and the new mobo had black heasinks so I got the 9700 NT and put the other one in my missus pc :o)

  • @D4reko it has LEDs

  • @D4reko The 9700 is made from copper. This looks like aluminum.

  • @D4reko all the other ones have smaller fans

  • turn on some lights.

nice stress test, i loved how we couldn't read anything.

    not informative whatsoever

  • will this fit in my NZXT Tempest Case?

  • Will this awesome cooler fit in a Antec P193 case?

  • @bulley7782 ya...i have it in an antec 900

  • ur intro is too long lol... chill it the fuck out ahaha.. besides that, thanks for the review!

  • will this fit in my CM storm sniper?

    I got a side fan...

  • lol. OFC IT WILL FIT. if it wouldnt fit in that case than i dont know in which case it will

  • it's aluminum and copper. fins are aluminum... tubes and sink are copper

  • From Zalman's website.

"Base Material: Pure Copper & Aluminum"

  • Will this fit into my CM stacker 830 case with out me taking out one of my side fans?

  • The video quality is ok but it's way too dark in the room!

  • Oh really? A CPU cooler that's not for a video card? Fascinating!

  • nice cooler i got the regular copper . Does this work as good ? does anyone know ?

  • i wonder if the paint would make a difference with dispensing the heat... i'm guessing there must be a difference.

  • theres no paint on it man. i have the same one

  • But. The Zalamn is pure copper. having paint on it would affect it's performance..... is this one made from different material>? I know he said its copper but copper isnt black....

  • i think its made out of some nickle and steel, then they run it through some chemical baths to darken the metal. its not even really back, its more of a very dark chrome

  • thinking logically, the black one wouldn't perform as good.... as we all know black attracts/ harbors heat....

  • well its not really black, its dark chrome. and believe me, this thing works GREAT. i own one myself. and its 60 bucks for a reason!

  • Its nickel plated so you get that mirror finished. The plating doesn't effect the Heat transfer at all.

  • i was gonna buy this but in norway this costs 650KR (108.33$) and i saw CoolerMaster V8!!! its awsome its huge and its super effectiv and the price was 685KR (114$) lol its fk worth the 6 more dollars! Buy it! the best CPU cooler.. i got AMD Phenom II x4 940 3ghz @ 3.5ghz and still on 20-45 Celsius! :')

  • bull shit 176 to 194

  • it just blow the hot air from the processor not like liquid cooling it cool the processor by the conduction the best way to cooling but these fan still cool.

  • holy shit thats WAAAAAYYYY fukd up, i waz guna by this cooler ,,, but not now

  • yeah apparently it wasn't the best fan.

  • I found this on amazon but I'm wooried about thetemp...Is the fan bad or its just his mobo and cpu sux????

  • do you really need a 1 minute and 30 second introduction holy fucking christ

  • Lmao clearly he has done something wrong. I have a Q9450 and a Zalman 9700. Q9450 @3.8Ghz Max I've hit is 65c with prime 95 Small and Large (TJMAX 100)

  • Shit even 6 hours straight 90 is way fucked up, even with the room temperature factored in. I have the exact same cooler and processor i OC mine to 4.0ghz and it idles at 40-45 load 55-60 and i play L4D, F.E.A.R, Oblivion, Mass Effect and C.O.D 4 for hours on end. It Spiked once 60 but not 90 not ever. If i ever saw anything above 60 with an after market cooler installed, I would not purchase the product.

  • Yeh He might have not put enough Thermal Paste on or any or just shit stuff

  • fuk not u

  • Was that and isult or Why the fuk are you stalking me

  • i want this one over the exchange of my rusty orange sponge colour zalman cnps9700 led

  • Haha! I found your comment.. lol xD

  • lol stalker

  • xD hehe

  • Something definitely isn't right; my (dust-clogged) Zalman 9700 NT keeps my e6600 OCed to 3.6 GHz at 55-60C under Orthos/Everest with 24C Room temp.

Perhaps it's the airflow in your case? I myself use an Ultra Aluminus with 1x Antec 120mm in the front intake, 1x Antec 120mm rear exhaust, and 1x Antec 80mm side panel intake.

  • the Intel Q9550 quad core uses a higher voltage to run at 3.6ghz so you can't compare your e6600 to it

  • That I know, but it still shouldn't be 30C of a difference due to voltage, can it?

  • man if your cpu got that hot you seated it wrong because thats absolutely the most horrible temps ive ever seen hell my q9400 with the stock intel fan doesnt get that roasty

  • the Cpu that was tested with this was a Q9550 quad core 2.83ghz over clocked to 3.6ghz with that fan. And the cooling of that fan after 6 hours spiked my cpu to those high temps. for me professional water cooling kit gets me to 3.6ghz at 60 degrees running at 100%. So yeah its not how I have sited the fan its the fan its self not good for overclocking.

  • man im glad i watched this cuz even that overclock shouldnt produce those kind of temps what board and case are you useing i was going to buy a zalman but after watching this ill go with acfrezzer 7 pro way cheaper i have one in my other pc keeps my e6600 real chilly

  • hey dude, where did you buy it from? im in melbourne and want one, and am shopping around...

  • Yeah I didn't actually buy this i was just asked to test it, but Umart in Brisbane provided this to me to test, so I am no sure if there is a Umart in Melbourne. there is a place called PC gear that will most likely have it, thats in Melbourne as far as i know

  • What cpu did u run it on? Im thinking of getting one to my E8500, not OCd, think it can keep a fair temperature?

  • Oh, srry, didnt see it mentioned in the end :P

  • its all good

  • I remember chris pirillo demoing that intro software; what was the name of it again?

  • Your cpu reached 90 degrees c?? thats terrible.

  • yep the benchmark was for 6 hours with the cpu at 100% the whole time over clocked at 3.6ghz and after 6 bouts it got to about 90 at the end

but it started as 50 degrees and climbed every hour. by about 5 to 8 degrees.

  • Did anyone else just want the damn video to start?

  • hahahah yep intro was a bit over exaggerated ... LOL

  • lol Nice intro.

  • Isn't 80-90C ALOOOOTTTT TOO HOTTTT!?

  • it sure is, but serisously this cooler is only good if you have a room at is as cool as 20 C or less. the tests for this cooler were conducted in a room that was 27 C thats why the temp went up in to 90C for stress tests. keep in mind that was the cpu running at 100% for 6 hours straight.

  • thanks, im thinking of changing my cooling from liquid to air as i have a low end water cooling system that is as loud as hell and not very good

  • I don't think thats a good Idea I would get better water cooling and not switch to air cooling.

  • fair point, ill have a look at em

  • these coolers looks great im really considering about getting one, got a question tho are they loud?

  • I only got to test this item for a few days but from when I had it, it was very quiet even at full speed.

  • Thanks alot , have a nice day :-)

  • Nice are you gonna use this in a pc, i like the intro i think your the first one to do something like that
