Common mistake however a small correction. A black mamba by defult is not very agressive and wont "strike on sight". But if you chose to ignore warnings such as its open mouth and agressive stance then it will take any opening available to strike you as a defence. Even chase you short distances, but if you avoid it and dont get within its "threat" range then it wont attack. That is atleast how an adult mamba wold be have. Younger mamba's are more unsure of itself and can be more unpredictable.
