  • Hello 'I trust the brand MAPEX But What kind of microphones do you use? because this battery is not possible to have that sound '! put the original sound of drums

  • not a fan of the snare but you lay down a tight ass groove

  • some one please tell me how to get my toms to sound like these! i have older mapex pro-m series drums! i love them but i dont know if the problem is with my tuning or if they just sound better when you record them!?

  • Plus it's as though the video is a demo for Paiste cymbals played in a rock context.

  • Awesome kit, just get a different snare as this ones shite. It's almost as though Mapex have stacked this kit with that many pro features that something has got to give before and sadly it appears as though it's the snare. Include a snare that matches the toms abd bass and youve got practically a pro kit. Though this video doesn't do the whole kit justice.

  • What R U do with sound? Sounds like shit..

  • Getting this kit today :D But with a black panther snare :L

  • @jadonndrumznmuzic <------ this guy sucks! aha!

  • bbk shirt.. mad ting;)

  • what top and bottom skins are you using ?? nice snare sound :)

  • @Samholmes19 Looks like Remo Pinstripe and Evans g1 if I'm correct, and the snare sounds bad to me. But tuning and drum sound in general is a very subjective matter.

  • @Samholmes19 Didn't realize it was actually a mapex cymbal on the on the heads, it's going to be a clear ambassador on the bottom and a pinstripe on the top then ;)

  • @iLoveAltNation Great thanks :)

  • stop using so much eq!

  • Mate.. Snare sounds aweful.. :/

  • How do you mic the set?

  • so its a mapex promotion and a paiste promo...in every video he uses a different paiste line to promote

  • Got this kit in black chrome pearl. Coat emps as batters and clear ambs as reso on the toms. Great sounding kit, and well worth the money.

  • I'm gettin the same kit for Xmas :D

  • @hazzaktm

    same dude!!

  • too many winey cry babies on here complaining about anything. drums sound great dude. mapex is what i play. nice.

  • to much EQ, toms sounds like electronic pads, snare sound like carbon box, and I think that is much better to show the drums with 1 ply heads , not with Pinstripes.

  • @BERZITI pinstripes come stock with the set. UT remo pinstripe heads

  • too much eq hurts my ears for sum reason :(

  • Why would you ever tune a maple snare drum that low?

  • What the hell have you done with snare? Sounds like shit..

  • To demo a kit, how about hitting each drum by itself? Waiting for a fill every four bars seems kind of pointless.

  • @drumrnva In what musical context would you ever just hear each drum by itself? A kit is made to be played all together. While I agree you might get a bit more detailed sound from individual hits, it seems like this gives a better idea of the Meridian set as a whole. Just my opinion.

  • @bkstaxman A 2-min demo isn't a musical context. Ideally it would be a chance to hear what the drums sound like.

  • @drumrnva Every one bar*

  • @ransco1000 Thank you Dr. Pedantic.
